  1. I'm not sure if it is the correct yellow, but Woodland Scenics makes dry transfer letters and numbers. https://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/item/MG742
  2. Hi Mark, I have that kit in my stash, also. Let me know if you still need a copy. Mike
  3. The one time I played with it (a few decades ago) I vaguely remember it curling up at the edges when I tried to make a flat sheet of it and if you go too thick it can shrink and crack.
  4. Hi Len, Regarding the banquet, is there a Plan B if buffets are still on the "not recommended" list of activities? Mike
  5. According to Google Maps it is showing Permanently Closed. https://www.google.com/maps/place/HobbyTown/@32.7496331,-97.4314749,445m/data=!3m2!1e3!5s0x864e73491592208f:0x7edf0a3a58ea5ca5!4m8!1m2!2m1!1shobby+town!3m4!1s0x0:0x310e2a8c8fde1086!8m2!3d32.7495906!4d-97.4311486?hl=en
  6. As I have been told several times, you are the one person that has to look at the model every time you walk by. My suggestion would be, whatever color looks right to your eye IS the right color. If someone tells me the color or a detail of some sci-fi subject i have built isn't correct, my response is "It is in my universe."
  7. I am currently using an approximate 50/50 mix of Mr Color 311 (Gray FS36622) and 316 (White FS17875 [gloss - because its all I have]) on both the Reliant and Enterprise. I don't know how "accurate" it is but to my eyes it looks better than pure white, especially since I won't be using the aztec decals.
  8. There are minutes for January 2020 in the IPMS/USA Topics group.
  9. My "go to" method for something like that is using a two part epoxy putty/clay such as Aves Apoxie Sculpt, Magic Sculpt or Kneadatite.
  10. As I suspected, I have several of the 2010 Decal sheets. Send me a PM if you are still interested and we will make it happen. Mike
  11. Hi David, Let me check my stash. I know I have several of the 2010 sheets and doubt I would have given away all the 1/48 subjects (I mainly build 1/72). If I have a set, they are yours. Mike
  12. Good question. One I have thought about but never researched before. A search brought me to this article: http://mentalfloss.com/article/542404/litigious-history-dc-and-marvel-rival-captain-marvel-characters
  13. I found this overlay on MapPorn. Its missing a few countries, but it gives a general idea.
  14. Based on information on the Hyatt Phoenix website, it looks like they don't. Mike
  15. Hi Mike, Members of foreign IPMS chapters do not need to be members of IPMS/USA to register for the convention. Just include your home country IPMS number on the registration form and we will assign you a temporary number for the purposes of entering the contest, etc. The General Admission fee is $10 per day or a multi-day pass can be purchased for $25. Children under 10 (with a paid adult), military personnel with ID and first responders in uniform are free. Hope this answers your questions, Mike Ronnau
  16. The tram from the airport to the 44th Street station is free. According to the Light Rail website, it is $2 for a single trip from the 44th Street station to the 3rd Street & Washington station. Then it is about a one block walk north to the hotel. Uber estimates anywhere from $15 to $50 depending on the size of vehicle you use (based on Uber Fare Estimate from Sky Harbor Airport to Hyatt Regency Downtown). Hope this helps and we will see you in August! Mike
  17. It is a two step process that may be confusing the issue. When you click on the online registration link on our website, you are taken to the page shown in the first example image. Since you have already registered, click on the T-shirt link and it will take you to a new page (example image 2). Then if you click on the line art of the T-shirt or on the "IPMS National Convention T-Shirts" text under the image, you will be taken to another page (example image 3) where you can select the quantity and size of T-shirts you want, and it had an ADD TO CART button. Banquet tickets follow the same process. If you aren't seeing the different pages on the computer you are using, or if the links aren't working, I would suggest trying the process in a different browser. If you are still having problems, then I'm sure we can use the paper system to get you taken care of. Hope this helped. Mike
  18. Hi Mark, Both links seem to work for me. You need to click on the image (or text) and it takes you to a separate page where you can choose quantity, and in the case of the t-shirts, the size also. Hope this helps and let us know if you are still having issues. Mike
  19. Hi Stuart, Thanks for pointing out that deficiency. I will make sure the website (and hopefully the shopping cart items) are updated to reflect the day and date for the tours. The Pima tour is scheduled for Thursday, August 2nd and the Orbital ATK tour is scheduled for Friday, August 3rd. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and we will give plenty of warning if anything changes. Mike
  20. Trophy sponsorship forms will be active as soon as the shopping cart goes active, which should be by the end of the month. And there will be an online sponsorship form for those that prefer using the US mail. If you have any questions about trophy sponsorship, you can contact Jim Clark, the Contest Chair, directly at contestchair@ipmsusanationals2018.org. Hope to see you in Phoenix! Mike
  21. We are planning a tour down to the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson on Thursday, August 2nd. Details should be published by the end of the month. We are also working on a tour to Orbital ATK. More details will be provided when we get them. Thanks for your patience, Mike
  22. The doors will open Wednesday afternoon. While some vendors may still be setting up, the vast majority should be in the hall and up and running. Also, it is a good opportunity to get your registration packet and enter your models before the big crush on Thursday and Friday. Mike
  23. There is a build thread on Kampfgruppe for this kit (http://www.kampfgruppe144.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=1632). One of the later posts states that the RLai He-111 is a rebox of of the CafeReo He-111 (https://www.scalemates.com/companies/company.php?id=2396) Sorry if wantonly posting links to other forums and websites is a faux pas.
