  1. While we have your ear, I have tried pointing this out in emails for at least a year but see no change. This is the ad for IPMS/USA that is currently running in Amazing Figure Modeler (as of June 2024). Very old and out of date. I assume this is an ad share with AFM. It makes me wonder how many other ad share publications are running outdated ads for IPMS.
  2. Great work, as always, Gil. If I live that long, I would be happy to achieve half your skill at vacuform kits and scratchbuilding.
  3. Only suggestion I can come up with is Woodland Scenics makes white dry transfer numbers and letters in 45 degree Gothic. They don't have 5/32" but do have 1/8" and 3/16" which hit around the size you are looking for.
  4. Here is a link to Rusty's obituary. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/edmond-ok/david-white-11092050 Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
  5. Because it is asked in the "About the IPMS/USA National Convention" sub forum? And the restaurant is less than a mile from the 2023 convention hotel?
  6. Since most of my stash is in banker's boxes, I number the boxes and have a location field in my spread sheet to indicate which box a kit is stored. I also have columns for Classification (aircraft, armor, sci-fi, etc) and "Manufactured by/Series" (Douglas, North American, Grumman, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc). By filtering the data, this helps me quickly see if I already have a particular subject in my stash. I also list condition of the kit, i.e. bag kit or whether it is started, and in the notes I will list any aftermarket I may have for it.
  7. Is the wooden front bumper an option in the kit or scratch built add-on? Your rust holes in the body are very well done. Nice job!
  8. Only when they make sense. 😁
  9. Unfortunately, the PS line is designed for Lexan RC car bodies and even on the RC forums they can't find anything to safely take it off without damaging the body.
  10. All I can hear is Jerry Reed saying "Hang on t' yo ass, Fred!" Neat build, Ron!

    Stripe Decals

Woodland Scenics does several colors of stripes in varying widths in dry transfer.
  12. Just make sure you have some debonder handy. 😁
  13. When some of the 2010 Nats crew approached Albuquerque back in 2011/12 about bidding for a convention, the reason they eventually declined is because the only facility that could hold the contest and vendor room was the Albuquerque Convention Center and at that time, the Convention Center hadn't been refurbished since the last time Albuquerque hosted the Nats (1994?). And as near as I can tell, it still hasn't been refurbished.
  14. Well said, Neal.
  15. I'm not sure if it is the correct yellow, but Woodland Scenics makes dry transfer letters and numbers. https://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/item/MG742
