Looking for a good match to Shelby Guardsman Blue

I tried the Guardsman Blue Metallic from MCW but it's to light for Shelby's.  The paint is listed under a Ford 1965 color so that's probably correct for a Ford but apparently Shelby had their own mix but with the same name.  For those who have built Shelby Cobra kits, what blue did you use?

Thanks,

Eric

MCW Finishes will have it. He is my go to paint supplier for classic OEM colors.

I believe he sells it in lacquer or enamel.

A number of years ago I was also having a hard time finding the right shade of Guardsman Blue for a Daytona Coupe.  MCW was too light and Zero Paints had too much sparkle.  I finally settled on paint from Automotive Touchup.  A 2oz bottle costs about $19 plus S&H and you can spray it right from the bottle.

Here's a link to the site.  It's listed under 1964 Ford colors:

Here's a link to some pictures of a Daytona Coupe I did using that paint (sorry for the lousy pics, but you'll get the idea):

Hope this helps.

Considering it is not an off the shelf paint, specially mixed and looks like supplied ready to use in an aerosol puts the cost into more perspective.
