John, Two articles previously published in our club publication, Tactical Notes, were subsequently submitted and printed in Boresight. I'll add you to our distribution list and please feel free to use articles from future issues or contact me if you want an article in its original format.

10% sales tax! Good God! Thank you for making me feel so much better about our Commonwealth's 6% leeching.

Very nice.

Does anyone know if there is an online build somewhere or an article in a magazine wherein the builder builds this awful fit and corrects many of its problems? I've got the Obscureco set for this a/c and want to build the model but I'd like to take a shot at fixing some of its problems.

The pictures we post here don't have to be of high quality. I am sure your camera will do fine. Good luck on the Zero. -

Yes, my daughter is from China. We adopted her about 4 years ago. I spent a week in Chongching. I really liked the city. Fuling is about 2 hours travel time from Chongching. The Tamiya Type 21 is a little older than some of their current kits, but it is still a very good model. Hope you will post photos as you build it. -

Where in China are you from? I think you will find the local IPMS chapters filled with good modelers who are willing to help. -
If I am not mistaken that particular aircraft you modeled was preserved at a museum in Australia.

You've picked 3 really good kits. I hope you will post photos when you are building them. Sincerely, -
How about a short description of what you did and what you went thru and what you learned. I've been tempted to try photoetching, but never gave it a try. I'd love to hear more about what you did.

Ceramic wire for rigging?
David M. Knights replied to Dick Montgomery's topic in Tools, Tips & Techniques
Dick, One of our WWI modeling members recommends it. It is funny but we were just discussing this in an email exchange among some of our members. Here is a clip from those emails. "OK guys, here is the address for Precision Enterprises 479 Randall Hill Road Springfield, VT 05156Phone # (802)885-3094 The last time I bought it was $7.95/roll. Give the lady a call and she will give you all the particulars." -
Valom kits are eastern european productions. As such, they aren't Hasegawa. If you take a look at the most recent Journal, there is a build up of a Siga AM-1Q Mauler. While Valom is better than Siga, the build article will give you a general idea of what you face.

A classic. -
Doesn''t look overdone to me. It is hard to tell from photos. Did you do pre and post shading or just post shading?

I believe you can order them from Aeroclub http://www.aeroclub-models.com/index.html I believe Aeroclub is the manufacturer of Strutz and they make it in both Brass and styrene.

Ed, That is a great reason why folks should join IPMS. Good job answering the question. -
Javier, You've chosen a nice kit. Can't wait to see this one progress.

David M. Knights replied to Blackbird's topic in Welcome to the Forum!
I believe that AMT released a kit of a Rivet Ball or Rivet Joint RC-135 a number of years ago. I know that the different Rivet aircraft all had very different antenna configurations, but I think that kit would be your best place to start. It is in 72nd scale so it ends up being a pretty big model. Good luck. -
Yea. Thanks for supporting IPMS and the Journal, Mike.
-
Mike, That is wonderful. I really like the beat up interior and would love to hear how you made that look so lifelike. Please write an article for the Journal on this one.

I love the $500 rims on a $50 truck! :D
