catdude01 Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 Here I share some of my progress building the PT-17 Stearman from Revell using the Yellow Wings Decals. Here the kit is almost done, just some details missing like riggins, canopies, etc. This pictures are from July.
ghodges Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Looks like that's going to do the trick nicely. Looking forward to the final pics! GIL
aAzZ09 Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 Way to go Pedro! Keep up the good work! Mark
ghodges Posted October 4, 2016 Report Posted October 4, 2016 Those look great, and their "glint" adds some authenticity! GIL
RGronovius Posted October 4, 2016 Report Posted October 4, 2016 looks great, is this the kit currently on the shelves? I know there was an old Lindberg one that last saw life when the Independence Day movie came out.
JoeHegedus Posted October 4, 2016 Report Posted October 4, 2016 looks great, is this the kit currently on the shelves? I know there was an old Lindberg one that last saw life when the Independence Day movie came out. It's a recent issue (last couple years) so it should be readily available. Sprue Brothers is showing it in stock ( http://store.spruebrothers.com/product_p/rmx855264.htm ) as does Tower Hobbies ( http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDYXU&P=W ).
johneaton Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Yeah, pretty. That is a really nice kit. 1
VonL Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 Lovely airplane. Which paint is that yellow? 1
catdude01 Posted November 21, 2016 Author Report Posted November 21, 2016 Thank you! The color its a mix of Tamiya Red Flat with Yellow Lemon in a mix of 1:3 , the result is a opaque yellow, but when you apply a Gloss Varnish, the color change to a wet yellow color. Hope this helps!
