  1. Hey Mark, I like the "Deuce" in the box. So, how long does it take to look like the first picture again? For myself, it's usually by the end of the first build on the new space. Good luck on keeping a neat workspace, NEAT. Bill
  2. Might have to get one of these. Had a ride in one to an airshow back in the 70's. Best ride ever...until it started raining on the way back to the home airport. Nothing like silk scarves, leather helmets and goggles to make you feel like a true aviator. Anyway that one was painted in the blue/yellow army scheme. That's how I'd do mine. On another note, while we were at the show a Stearman landed on top of a Cessna 172 and just missed cutting the wing tank open by about 2 inches. The Steaman pilot was injured and both planes wrecked. I thought it was my buddy who flew us there that was involved until I saw our plane moved into a different spot on the flightline. Great job again Gil. Bill

I'm working on a 1/350 UH-1N...I've been working on it for two months. A very sad commentary indeed. On another note, I am working on the Gallery UH-34 also. Pic's soon. Gil, Keep em coming, along with the rest of y'all. Inspiration comes in various forms. Thanks to all who contribute. Bill
  4. Great looking Spit, Gil. John, what you have done looks good also. Keep up the good work guys. It makes the juices start flowing again to finish up my build. Bill
  5. Very nice. Love the scheme. Bill

Pretty soon, I hope to have something. Bill
  7. Mark, I whacked up a 1/48th T-6 wing awhile ago. I used their customer service web site and found the place to get parts. I think the kit needs to be somewhat newly produced or not years and years out of production. Anyway, I got the part in about two weeks. No hassles, just what I thought...good service. Did the same thing on a 1/32 Tornado canopy; again no problems. That came quickly also. I even sent them back a note on how good their service was. Hope you find what you are looking for. Bill
  8. Hey Rob, I saw this last night at our meeting and the chains don't look as new looking as in the photo. I think it is just the flash giving it a shinier look than they are. The chain looks pretty nice with everything "hanging out" as it is. They are a lot darkier looking than in the pic's. The whole vignette is really done up well. Ed, again nice job.
  9. ADVANCED AMS in full bloom here folks. It looks great when he brings it in to the meeting with something else new AND improved. It will look fantastic when completed. Keep up the good work ED! Bill
  10. Saw it last night at our meeting. Pic's don't it it justice. Great job, Ed. Bill
  11. WOW! Love the markings and the build. Great job. Bill
  12. Just watched "Torpedo Run" last night. Great models of Gato's in there. Yours looks better, great job. What colors did you use for the hull. I like the variation in color. Bill
  13. Quit YAK'n and get back to the bench. HEER, HEER. Nice job on both, Duke. Great start to the year. Bill
  14. Nice job Duke. All of the pieces look really nice. Weathering looks great. Bill

Cool scheme. Very nice looking build. I have to do more "metal" aircraft. I've been too afraid to do them. Chris...what ship was "chrome"? Bill
  16. Looking good, Chris. I can't wait for the tute on the water. I have an idea I want to play around with myself. Hope what you are doing may help me out. Keep on plugging away. Bill
  17. One other thing that may help is a flexi-file. It's great for round surfaces. There are different grit sanding ribbons to use on it. This way you won't get flat spots on a curved surface. unless you really go to town with it. Great tool...reasonably cheap, lot of uses. Bill
  18. Great job! Put on some sunglasses. Love it. Bill
  19. That just made the list!
  20. Not being a WW II aircraft builder anymore, I remember building this long ago. Your rendition looks great. Do they still give the optional parts to make the night fighter (my favorite one) and the pathfinder in the box? Whose markings are on it, as I see orange or red tail booms hiding out on it. Nice job. Bill
  21. Very nice Gil! Is that day-Glo Red from Testors or international orange? Looks great. Bill
  22. I wish I could find my bench! Buried in stuff again. Time to dig it out. Nice job on the plane Pawel. It's coming along great. Bill
  23. Mark, This kind of reminds me of my Cessna 337 that was built last year. Twenty parts and two months to build. Sometimes it's just not a fair fight and I mean a fight with the kit. Anyway, You know once it's on the finished shelf it won't be coming off soon to get a couple of decals re-applied...or will it? It still looks cool though. I wish they made one with fixed gear in 1/32nd scale. Bill
  24. Mark, That looks great. Paint scheme top notch. Are the red markings painted or decals? Also, what about the flying wires...what did you use. I really like this bird. Bill
  25. Very ambicious. Looks great so far! Bill
