  1. You have built more kits in 2020 than I have since 2018. I applaud your dedication to building. Great work on them all, Duke. Keep it up. Bill
  2. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday at wailing US 30 Dragstrip...where the great one's run. Fantastic. Bill
  3. Boss, man! Love the color scheme. The attention to detail is really superb. This looks well worth the effort and time put in. Bill
  4. Two thumbs up Gil! Nice paint scheme too. Bill

I really like your flesh tones, Kev. They have the warmness in their color. The hair looks great also. Well done all around on this one. Bill
  7. Way cool paint on this one! Those colors just work together. Nicely done build all the way around. Bill
  8. Way cool, Kev! It almost looks like she is being "hatched" out of the 'egg' pod. The colors look great for what it is. Bill
  9. COOL! Great job Ron. What color red is that? A custom mix or what? Bill
  10. Cool Bird you have there Duke. It really has a bird like quality to it, I think. You wrangled it into a fine looking representation of the real thing. Bill
  11. That's an awesome build. I couldn't imagine being towed over the North Atlantic in something like this. Too many variables there for a safe recovery. Well done. Bill

    Ep. 4 Leia

Well done, Kev! The Empire will never be the same now. Bill
  13. Mike, What about using clear sprue for the water stream from the hose to the point of its impact? Using a piece thin enough then maybe adding some clear caulk to that for more volume to it. You might looking at some of the ship guys for how they do sprays with cotton tufts for wakes to make your water bouncing off the engine cowling. Just some ideas. Bill
  14. Great job. I remember back when I built that kit. Left it Natural metal (silver plastic) and used the square bottle of Testor's Orange paint. Some gloss black tires and it was ready to deploy. Cool paint scheme. Bill
  15. Hidden in plain view. Nice save. Mark, is the bar armor PE or plastic, you did a nice job on getting that all together. Bill
  16. Nice job, Ron! Maybe I would be able to something like that done in a couple of months. Let's see...seven parts, seven months, that's probably about right for me lately. Any way, very cool. Bill
  17. I have to agree with Mark. The weathering is fantastic. Keep it coming. Bill
  18. Creepy looking...but in a good way? I guess. Nicely done. Bill

Looks like he could use some braces. Great job Kevin. Bill
  20. Thanks guys. I really enjoyed building this kit. Minor issues easily solved. It's kind of funny about the canopy glass. I polished it then dipped it in whatever 'Future' is called now. I scratched it while installing it and had to take off the part and re-polish it and re-attach it. I guess it worked out ok. Bill
  21. Great job on that finish Bill. Classic Scheme. Two thumbs up. Bill
  22. Here are some more photos of the build. The model was pretty easy to paint; overall MM Acryl Army Helo Green (FS 34031) on the outside and on the inside I used Tamiya NATO Black. Other shades were also used to break up the overall colors. The inside of the engine area was MM Yellow Zinc Chromate with a mist coat of fluorescent green from the square bottle in the transmission area. Adding the Zactomodels exterior set really helped the kit also. So, here they are... I used Lite Bright pegs for the screens on the IP. I wired up the Disco Ball and the tail area. On the rotor, I placed dots of red, blue, green and yellow with a toothpick for the maintenance indicators. I also made umbilicals from the fuselage to the weapon stations. After everything was together I gave it a dry brushing with Tamiya weathering powders.
  23. Thanks, Gil. That glass was the hardest part of the build. Had to hack up some interior things to make it fit just so. Some more pics to come. I forgot how to post them...haven't finished anything in a while. I really enjoyed building this one. Bill
  24. Here is the Kiowa Warrior from MRC. Great build. Very wordy directions, but comprehensive. I also used the Zactomodels exterior details. I added some seat belts, a CAR-15 on the IP.
  25. Looks great, Gil Inside and out nicely done. A great blast from the past. Bill
