willieself Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Been modeling seriously for nearly 20 years and finally got off my rear and joined IPMS...primarily build 1/48th scale aircraft from WWII to current, and mostly US subjects...I have built the odd armor kit from time to time and dabble in Sci-fi also. I live in west Texas and the nearest hobby shop is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive so the internet is my major source for modeling info and supplies etc...I did manage to attend this years NATS in Columbus and had a blast, looking forward to Phoenix!!!!!

I also lived in an area years ago where hobby shops weren't nearby, so I feel your pain. But, at least now you have the internet and this forum to buy what ya need and to show of your work!
