  4. Hi Folks, I will be attempting an update to the Forum software this coming weekend (Sept 8). We will be down for a couple hours while I back up the Forums and apply the update. Eric Aitala - Webmaster
  5. If there are any needs on the technical side - things to help get folks working together more smoothly or data / document sharing, for example, let me know. Eric
  6. There is also this kit... http://www.starshipmodeler.biz/shop/index.cfm/product/2510/1100-ex-33-black-tiger.cfm Eric
  7. I will look into it but I'll bet some permissions are mis-set. UPDATE: Fixed now. Eric
  8. I'm finding that the iPad version of Tamiya Modeling Magazine and Airfix Magazine are very useful... Eric
  9. Ok, let's take it as given that the EBoard and NCC will make changes to the contest categories, rules, and / or judging handbook to encourage more interest in IPMS/USA for auto modelers. What else can 'we' do? And by 'we' I see three basic groups: The EBoard. Local IPMS/USA Chapters. IPMS/USA members. I think that the EBoard may not be able to directly do much, but could promote the idea of an Outreach program by the local Chapters and IPMS members to auto modeler clubs in their respective areas. It would take some organization and effort to do this. For example, do we have an idea of how many auto modeler clubs there are and where they are located? Do we have chapter and members who would be willing to participate? The other issue which concerns me is that auto modeler clubs as a group are intentionally not organized, in the sense that armor modelers have APMS for example, so they may not share the same concerns, issues, etc. with IPMS that have caused the rift. Anyway... just my $0.02... Eric
  10. There is also this decal set - http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=4515 - for the Focus WRC kit... Eric
  11. Hey Tim, Check out these threads: http://www.f1m.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17632&hilit=Pescarolo http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1073048&highlight=pescarolo&page=2 Eric
  12. Prime, paint, polish, wax. Make sure everything is completely smooth between steps... Eric
  13. You could check the LHS map on my website, but the info there is pretty out of date... http://www.f1m.com/lhs/map I think your best bet is probably in Pittsburgh, PA. Eric
  14. While I think that re-examining the Nats when it comes to the Automotive category is a good idea, I'm not really sure that's going to have a substantial impact. Having visited several non-IPMS auto model clubs, I think the local & regional contests have more influence on how a car club feels about IPMS. I've heard comments about how "we don't want this to become an IPMS contest" when any changes were suggested to a NNL like show... Eric
  15. Theoretically, I'm also a car builder, assuming I ever get around to building models instead of web sites. One way car modelers could make a big difference would be to review some car kits.. If I recall correctly we were a bit short of reviewers in that category.. For more info, see: http://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/welcome-ipmsusa-product-reviews-site Eric
  16. Nittany Line was OK for supplies and such. And the place in Altoona (Gene's Trains?) had some items. I think the nearest actual hobby shop is in Harrisburg... I don't count the new Hobby Lobby in Altoona as they don't have much. Eric
  17. I remember going to MidSouth Hobbies at their various locations in Memphis. Wish there was a store of similar quality within an hour or two of State College. Eric
  18. Hi, Try - http://www.ipmsusa2.org/forms/ipms_application.pdf Eric
  19. HI, As far as I know there is no problems with the store - the web host was going to do some network maintenance last night, so the site may have gone down. If you continue to have problems, please let me know. Eric
  20. Clearing the cookies will probably log you out of the Forum. Clearing the cache removes old and potentially damaged files store on your computer. How its done it browser dependent - just give it a Google... Eric
  21. Nothing has changed with the Forum software. You may need to clear your browser cache... E
  22. A while back I thought about building a Bento template to build a model database... just never got round to it... Eric
