  1. Can't wait to see the finished product.
  2. I think I need to step up to 1/48 scale. 1/72 is stressing me out and my hands are not as steady anymore.
  3. Scribing is one of those things that can make or break a modeler. You need to search for all the tips and techniques venues to get a handle on scribing. Don't get discouraged. Get an old model or a very cheap one to practice, practice, practice on. Most of all don't lose heart. I suggest a good scribing tool and there are many to choose from. The best one I have found is the UMM tool. You can go to UMM-USA.com to order one. I find it the easiest and most versatel tool to use. Take your time,it is a slow process to do a good job.
  4. I'm aware of two 1/72 kits but I haven't been able to locate them. RVHP made an FJ-3 and Special Hobby made aN FJ-2. Mabye someone has one in thier stash?
  5. Anyone know of a review of the F-86 coversion to an FJ-3 in 1/72.

  9. I have a couple of technical questions, having never built an early model prop. What are the fs no's of the blue's and how do you duplicate the waves in the aluminum surface's.
  10. How great it must have been back then to just fly around anywhere, land in a field, have a picnic and fly back home.
  11. Great looking Chipmunk. I practice build on Airfix kits that I pick up on a bargin. I really enjoy building them. Sure is better then distroying a $40 kit.
