  1. Beautiful little gun Rob! Very very well done. Ammo looks good too. Congrats man, I like it!
  2. I'm wondering id there is a way to make a map like that that is attached to or linked to directly from our IPMS USA Hobby Shop page so that someone can check the page and see the local hobby shops without having to download an Excel spreadsheet first. It would be so much simpler to have something that is that visual and quick to access and might help more people who are looking for local hobby shops to come here first instead of going to other Forums to post a question.
  3. Well, my 'multiples' are mostly three and four of a bunch of diferent planes from P-40's to P-51's and a ton of jets. Interestingly enough, my most numerous model of a single class of plane is my MiG 21. I have twelve built. Can't say it is actually my favorite plane, but it is the one with the most numerous countries marking options. Next are my F-4 Phantoms. I have 9, followed by my F-15 Eagles with 7. If helicopters are included, I have a tie: All variants of the UH-1: 8 All variants of the Mi-24 Hind: 8 Wow. I still have two more Hinds to build too. This is enlightening. Thanks for posting this Glenn!
  4. I had also sent Tim Darrah a number of Hobby Shop locations that had been left out of Southern California. I don't see them listed on the map. Can someone get that info and please update the map? Thank you.
  5. Sweet! That is awesome. I'll have to try something like that.
  6. Yes Mark, between us two Marks is most of the posts of completed or in-progress models it seems! Good job on that JSU. I was also referring to posts on my Thread in particular; the more I get, the more I build. By all means, pull out that Deuce. I'd love to see what you do with it. I may even have another 1/72 sca;le one in the stash. If you start yours, I'll try to find mine so I can copy your Israeli truck. That would be a neat addition to my Israeli army!
  7. Thank you Dave! I'm glad to see someone post here. I do appreciate the comments. I was so glad to get that train done! Next up, an armored train!
  8. Dick, you don't need a million bucks for that. Some of those trucks go for cheap in clearance lots, and you already have half the things you mentioned already. That does sound like an awesome idea though. Well, it's finally raining here. Time to put in some bench time!
  9. Cold? What's that? Seriously, I have my model room inside this two-bedroom condo. The only time it gets cold is at night so I do my spray painting during the day. I do have to open the window to 'vent' my 'spraybooth' after all.
  10. Awesome! Congrats an great job!
  11. Beautiful work Vlad! Very impressive. I love the armor collection; I've wanted many of those models in my collection too, but my scratch building skills are not up to par to complete any of them. Well done!
  12. Anthony, welcome from another Mark! Glad to see you on these Forums. Are you from Long Beach in California? If so and you want to join a club or attend a model meeting, contact me for info on IPMS Orange County. Hope to see you at one of our meetings, if I haven't already!
  13. Not too many. The interior floor looks awesome, but there is no interior detail on the inside of the walls. In fact, I did scratch a door on the inside of one wall, leading to the small room on the side as there was nothing there. Very crude, but in the dark of looking through the door, it looks well enough. For accessories, it did come with a wagon wheel, an anvil on a stump, a cooling bucket, a ladder and a grindstone. Some of these could easily be placed inside if you wished, but it would be difficult to see them through the large doors so I positioned mine outside. I have to take a new photo showing my shop with the wagon wheel and grindstone outside of it; I just noticed they are not there. I wouldn't mind finding some extra small scale furniture or other detail items to add to this; I did leave the main roof unglued so I could open it up again and add more to it should I get more.
  14. John, it is an MPC original. In fact, if I remember correctly,(and I may not) it started out as a prize with their token program, but so many people wrote in a asked it to be released that they finally did. I remember it was originally about $20.00. Alot of money in those days for a kid who was used to buying $1.98 kits off the shelf at 7-11. That and their Christie Firetruck were the only kits that needed 100 tokens to get. I had been saving up to try and get the Christie Firetruck and was about two-thirds of the way there when the company folded.
  15. Congrats John. Yes, as James mentioned, it is originally an MPC kit. It'll take some work, but it will be a beautiful model when finished. I envy you; I'd love to get one of those! Enjoy!
  16. Welcome John! Your enthusiasm is catching, at least to me. I'm all fired up to go build a model now.....or five! I too am looking forward to seeing some of your work. Here's to seeing regular posts from you!
  17. Then call them for the Braille Scale Centurion and Universal carrier as well, They have my vote too, along with an M-109 Paladin and an M-41 Walker Bulldog. In aircraft I'd love to see a 1/72 scale 747 with options to build Air Force One and/or the Space Shuttle carrier. Also a1/72 scale plastic C-17, C-5A and C-141. In ships, a 1/600 or 1/700 scale Italian carrier Guiseppi Gariibaldi and the Vittorio Venetto.
  18. I am humbled by both your comments Gil and Ed. Thanks Gil! I'm glad you enjoy my work and I'm glad to give you so many to look at. I do hope to see more of your OOB builds, they are going to look great! Ed, thank you! I figured it would take awhile to look at all these, but not because you'd open them again. Thank you! I may make 2010 a banner year; we'll see. I'm sure going to have fun though. And yes, my wife is quite the Duchess, especially when I keep the Hobby Room door closed! Thanks again guys for your fantastic comments!
  19. Wow, I either overwhelmed everyone to speechlessness, or nobody can download this Thread. I was hoping to generate some discussion on this Thread, but I guess this was a mistake posting everything. I guess I should have just listed them all instead like everyone did in the other Thread in Open Discussion.
  20. Tim, I have several sources here, if there's something you're looking for, I could possibly get it.
  21. Wulf, it ain't about quantity. It's about showing what you did in one place so everyone can Ooo and ahh over them, and ask questions for improving themselves, and generally admire your awesome work. You definitely have models to be proud of. Particularly in ,light of your newest arrival. You done awesome. Thanks for posting.
  22. Welcome Bob! Glad to have you here.
  23. Thanks Gil! I agree. I love the sound of a blacksmith hammer on anvil!. Gee, maybe I should try to find a hammer..... Yes Tim, it was a kit. The company that made it is AHM Minikits; it's a company that makes buildings and accessories for HO model railroad layouts. I saw it being looked at by a fellow IPMS member at the Brewer Brothers Model Show and asked if he was going to get it. He said no so I bought it right there. I'm glad I got this.
