Cool. Thanks John. I figured they were not 1/72 scale. I do have a 1/72 scale Victor and Vulcan in 1/72 scale already built, so all I need is the Valiant for the set. It's cool to see these sent over for the tour. Looking forward to the rebuilds!

Oh man, that is a beautiful display!! Splendid job on nthat R-100 blimnp. That would be a great kit to have! I would LOVE to have those ships for my Navy, especially that Shell Welder in the back! I take it that the three V-bombers are a smaller scale than 1/72. I need to get the Valiant next to complete my collection of V-bombers in 1/72 scale. That Mach I kit is expensive though.... I also love the four-engined Air Support Command plane. What kind of plane is that? I'd love to have a 1/72 scale model of that!

Stunning work! This is awesome! I love the three-tone bare metal finish! Did Strombecker make armor models? I got a wooden tank model from a friend once, I can't remember what is on the box though. I may have to pull i9t out and see what it is.

Where do you get it and how much? I brush 85% of my models. This would be a good thing to have by the gallon....

Welcome to the Forums Paul. Beautiful work! I have a 1/72 scale DC-2 as well, someday I'll get to building it. It is good to see one built up like you have.

I'm also like Mark. I like movable parts on my models. After all, it's a model of a vehicle/machine. Why not also model what parts of it are able to do? Yeah, I play with mine too. Sometimes even in public on a war game table! One of my biggest pet peeves with model companies is when they tell you in an early step to "be very careful not to allow these parts to glue so they can move". Then in a later step you're told "glue this piece here so that this (movable) part stays in one position. AAGGHHH! If you wanted the part to move in the first place, then finish your half cocked engineering and stop being lazy! I'm faced with that problem on the Blackjack Russian bomber I have. I'm supposed to choose whether I want the wings to be extended or retracted because of the wing fences at the base of the wing. I'm gonna engineer this bad boy so the wing fences rise when the wings are retracted and lower when the wings extend! Too bad Trumpeter didn't finish their engineering so that I didn't have to do this extra step!! To me that is lazy!! Okay, back to your regular scheduled programming...

Ken, as for the rest of those kits, if you do not think you will be building them, I'd be happy to take one off your hands. I believe the D or C version was given to the Iraqi's and I've been wanting to get one to make Iraqi. If you'd like, save it for me to get at Phoenix and that just might be the bird I build in your commuunal build at the hotel. Or of you want to clear space, PM me the price and postage and I'll reply with my snail mail address.

Speaking for myself, I'm building quite a lot and I post a lot of pictures. I usually finish about 55-60 models a year anyway, and you can see everything I've been working on for most of the year in my General Modeling Forums Thread about my workbench. I am looking forward to seeing your pics. Hopefully you can get them posted soon and get some more discussion going. Thanks Ying.

I've never seen the extended version of "Dune". That might be interesting. I think they kept to the book fairly well in the beginning but got lazy in the last third part of the movie. Otherwise, I liked it too. It would be interesting seeing it re-done with modern tech today.

Welcome to the Forums Chris. I also have built pretty much everything (and still have them!) I have a couple helicopters here on the boards if you care to peruse them in the Aircraft Forums. They are in 1/72 scale, as that is the scale I build exclusively in for aircraft and armor. Enjoy your time here on the boards!

Come on back to the Modeling Forums and I'll try to keep more new additions on here for you to look at. Maybe then you'll get that smile back about the Hobby. I also have to say, the first jackstand you made looks outstanding! Beautiful job; it looks just like a full sized one. I almost mistook it for one. I seriously would love a set of these in 1/72 scale. Keep it up and keep photo-etching!

Ouch! That's tough! If I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'll buy replacements first for my Aurora 1/72 scale Piper Aztec and Piper Cherokee 150 to replace the ones stolen at the '07 Nationals! Thanks for the heads up.

I've been and still am using Mozilla Firefox, but I haven't had this issue since July when I first reported it. Somehow it managed to clear up on it's own for me.

LOL! Thanks Ken! The madness has slowed down a bit. I have a Bone to build on commission so I'll be concentrating on that for now. As for my tanks, that Sherman collection is only a very small fraction of my total. Jack, I'll hold back, but woe to the fool that comes after me! As for the trivia question; I'm sorry, I don't know. I'm glad you caught that though. Mark, thanks! That is a bit on the expensive side for me though. I may try to pick one up if I ever get a sizable job someday. Thanks for the heads up on that.

They also have a gun emplacement as well. I have both that and the Coastal Defense Fort. I'd love to get a Saharan Fort. I've never been able to get one. Thanks all for the great comments!

Thanks Dave! Unfortunately, nobody makes a US command vehicle in 1/72 scale. I'm going to try and do a conversion of an M-113 track to an M-577 command track if possible, but I'm not too confident at this time. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Oh, and I need to take a new pic. I inadvertently left out two of my Dragon Shermans: both the 105mm tanks! Stay tuned....

That is a fantastic looking plane! I just night have to pic a few of these up.
