  1. The 2013 IPMS/USA National Convention will be held August 14-17 at the J.Q. Hammons Conference Center in Loveland, Colorado. The first place to go for information is the IPMS/USA 2013 National Convention website at: www.ipmsusa2013.com You can find out about tours, events, admission, rules, lodging, vendors, and just about anything else at this website along with a list of contacts if you have specific questions. This forum is a bit less formal and here you might be able to find a ride or a roomie, or just chat about the upcoming convention with guys and gals who have attended past National Conventions. Representatives from the host chapter will also be watching this forum just to be sure you get timely and accurate information. We hope you can make it!
  2. That ship has already sailed, my friend. Your "top poster" medal is being cast now and will be presented at an appropriate time, hehe.

  4. I have one from Tamiya. It's called the Tamiya Sharp Pointed Side Cutter for Plastic #74035. Yes, it's a bit pricey but has a much finer tip than the Xuron model. You should be able to find it fairly easy at Hobbylink Japan, Sprue Bros., etc. I've had mine for 5 years and it's still excellent. BTW, it replaced my Xuron cutter!
  5. My thought was that anything that received some bling at a Nationals would be eligible.
  6. Ground up cat litter (the cheap clay type) and a couple hydrocal rock castings courtesy of a friend. I put a layer of the cat litter between two sheets of wax paper and rolled it with a rolling pin. I also added some railroad ground cover and Silfor buffalo grasses scattered around the rocks. Everything was attached with a layer of carpenter's glue. I then sprayed it with a mix of desert colors through my airbrush.
  7. You're making great progress! Keep posting!
  8. Nah, I saved you the trouble. The gallery is already posted on MEWSIG.
  9. The definition clearly needs re-defining now that kits include everything but the kitchen sink!
  10. PM me with your address and I'll send you one. I have an extra.
  11. I don't know why your link won't work. Anything posted in the public sections of these forums should be viewable by anyone. Maybe Eric will weigh in and shed some light on this. Until then, are these "unauthorized" folks using the same browser? I'd hate to think it comes down to browser choice again, but.....
  12. Same here. Never saw a need to thin it. Just remember to spray or brush on thin coats. A little goes a long way.
  13. This forum was removed 7/14/2012 for lack of interest. Only three threads were created since inception. A replacement forum will be created soon.
  14. Ohhhhh, I want to build one....in 1:48 of course.
  15. I agree. No gun. If you compare the gunned versions at the left, they clearly stick out enough that, even if they're slewed as far as possible to the right, you'd still see enough of the barrel in the photo. I ran your original through photoshop and looked for any signs of a gun shield but the image wasn't large enough to provide that sort of detail.
  16. Thanks for sharing the pix, Mark. I wish I could have made it...
  17. You have a point, Dan. I agree this thread has gotten a bit far afield of the original poster's (you) intent. I'm closing this thread to new posts now. Any truncated discussion can resume in the Bull Pen forum or in the IPMS/USA Topics forum. Thanks.
  18. You've been trying hard to get my attention, David. Now you have it. Please play nice. Your suspension was for violating the forum rules, nothing else. If you recall, you were suspended for trolling the forums to trick members into going to a questionable modeling Web site (which has had the content removed thanks to action by the then-current e-board) and were told to stop. Let this one go. It's old news and you've been given a second chance to post here.
  19. Fiddling with an LVT-(A)1 while watching Top Shots....
