  1. Dave, Not sure about anyone else, but I have a old model box filled with different sizes, shapes, and sheet. I seem to ALWAYS pick some form of Plastistruct or Evergreen every time I go to my LHS. I look at it like packratting. It is better to have and not need than to need and not have. Mark
  2. Should be ready for paint tomorrow.
  3. Jay, Having done one Journal review, that looks good. I know when I did my first series, they were worried about the flash causing so many highlights and shadows. I ended up taking mine outside. Yours looks fine. I am sure a couple of the Journal guys will be happy to point out any constructive comments. Mark
  4. Well, Not what I was expecting. The parts are all metal. Well defined except for the weight. The only bad pieces are the 105mm ammo boxes that have no wood texture of any kind. You are better off sticking with the Academy kit or getting a Legend set if you happen to find one of these.
  5. Mike, Looking good and I remember those snowy cold winters in Grand Forks and Minot. Mark
  6. Almost ready for the rear fuel tanks and holders.
  7. Now that is way cool. Didn't even know someone made a Big bus!
  8. The F-86 is another of my favorite jet planes. You did it justice!!!
  9. I picked up this kit off EBay and can find no reference to company or quality of resin. The same seller is also offering a Merkava Mk II for the Tamiya kit.
  10. My two cents..... After reading both threads about bases, I have to say there is a place for bases. Putting an armored vehicle on a plain finished piece of wood just does not look right to me. However, those that want to show off undersides of vehicles, I understand the mirrored bases. The small ones used to show aircraft in flight (like Paul's thread) also make since. I understand the "putting it on a base to mimimize handling" theory but a model on a plain piece of wood just looks weird. If I could, I would place on my kits on appropriate ground covered bases just becasue it looks better. Mark
  11. Well, Let's hope she thinks so!!!
  12. Has anyone heard of this company before? Are they new or out of production? Any assistance is appreciated. Mark
  13. Nah.....that WAS my Christmas gift....if I had known this was out, I would have asked for IT!

  15. Very nice indeed Chris and yes....there is another and the ONLY scale.... 1/35!!! Mark
  16. WooHoo....just what you all need. Another Experimental German Vehicle.
  17. Now I wish I hadn't bought the Israeli Half-track books. Avatar
  18. I think this would be cooler.
  19. Looks truly "Sci-Fi ish". I bet builders will love it.
  20. Bob, I agree. You can have your Panthers, and Tigers but nothing says fear like a JSU or KV series vehicle! Mark
  21. And it continues...
  22. Got mine Yesterday. Very well written and tons of pictures! Another Tom Gannon hit.
  23. Duke, Same thing happened to me during the Hummel build. I just lost interest. I am not sure what caused it but what did help me were the Friday night builds with my friends. The finish (point that got me re-motivated) was the fact that the red and white aiming stakes came out better than I expected. Heck, in honesty, I am zipping through the JSU-152 build. I think that was why I took it on. To help keep the motivation going. Mark
  24. Nah.....Just got them saved up because I thought they looked cool with the IAF Star Of David on them.
