  1. Wish ANY of my LHS's would carry the hard to find stuff or newer stuff! Lucky you!!
  2. David, Same here....even the dog!
  3. If you guys are building a T-55 or T-62, these are going to make it sooo much easier and realistic!!!! Ordered mine direct on the 1st of January and they showed up today!! Really nice.
  4. David, Your wife and my wife need to talk. I need one of those for mine!!
  5. WooHoo!! Another poster! Looks real nice Rob. Did the kit come with any figures? Mark
  6. Thanks guys.....I've contacted RnJ and Mr Models to see what is available.
  7. Has anyone ever purchased or used any of their stuff? They have a couple neat sets and one distributor in the US. Also, has anyone ever ordered from their US distributor before? Any comments on either would be greatly appreciated. Mark
  8. Mine arrived straight from Israel today. Very neat book. Many photos (B&W) of pre Middle East wars T-62s and numerous color shots of Latrun, Littlefield and combat wrecks in the desert. Mark
  9. Mark, I reviewed the GC Laser item for AMPS. http://74.220.29.68/Merchant2/merchant.mvc...egory_Code=1-35 Been thinking about adding it to the rear bed of the Deuce and some other items to go along with it. Mark
  10. Duke, You do mean besides you and me??.....you more; but you and me!!!! I'm cleaning up the wash on the JSU and hoping to apply decals and track this weekend. I like the "duece", makes me want to pull one of mine out and start on the Israeli mechanic truck I have been thinking about. Mark
  11. OMG.....We are model builders!!!! We overcome and adapt!!! We take that 20,000 BTU propane heater and "Tim the Toolman Taylor it". We add a more powerful motor and make it a 9 million BTU heater and we don't worry about the cold!!! ah ah ah ah
  12. After seeing Mark's post I had completely forgot about the one that will never be made. A 1/35 CH-53!!!!!
  13. Just finished my first review for AMPS in over a year. IsraDecal's Merkava 3/4 markings. If you went out a purchased the new Academy Merkava IV you will probably want to pick up this marking set. Great Decals to include the stencils and placard markings for various items on the hull. Mark
  14. Before getting the man cave, all I did was build. I had to wait until the weather warmed before venturing into the garage to paint. I woudl do the occasional rattle can job but that was it....just too cold to stay out and spray. Mark
  15. Just got my new T-34/85 visible. They have gone and done the unthinkable. They actually made the fuel and smoke cans via slide molding (no more sanding away detail). That alone makes this kit worth it! It looks absoutely gorgeous. The tracks are too soft and rubbery and they continue to make the rubber seperate from the road wheel.
  16. Anthony, Welcome, we have a bunch of great guys in the Sci-Fi forum. Can't wait to see some photos! Mark
  17. John, Everything I have looked up on the web shows this as an original MPC release in 1980. I have found nothing from another company or an earlier release date as of yet. Mark
  18. Ed said..."After all, I've survived in the hobby for over half a century without ever building an armor kit". Shame on you!!! Even I have ventured to the dark side. I built airplanes as a wee lad (and have several to build for my Middle East Wars theme [both actual and "what if"]), a car or two for realtives, a Franklin for my grandfather, and even a Dragon Rail car for a friend. Mark
  19. John, Even though you did not mention ARMOR (the only true form of model building), welcome to the forum and model building. Hope we can help you with any questions you have and hope to see examples of your work soon! Mark
  20. The infamous AVLB and MICLIC on a M60 or without it. I know there are several in Resin.....I want it in Plastic. Mark
  21. David, To me...if it looks like a T-62 then it is. The one I got as Christmas swag looks great. However, there are those that will nitpic anything. Here are a few links. Take them with a grain of salt. Barrel issue One correction.. Plans Review Review2
  22. What a great way to start the New Year!!!
  23. The last pieces before painting....hopefully today!
  24. Welcome, I have all the old Aurora Prehistoric kits and some of the Monogram re-issues that I actually plan to build some day. Mark
  25. Dave, Evergreen sells a rod and tube assortment EVG217 Rod & tube assorted and a sheet assortment EVG9008 Plain assortment. You might care to start with those and see what YOU use. For my armor building, lots of what I use is based on what I am doing. Mark
