Scooter Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Finished recently was my Douglas Havoc A-20G in 1/72. The kit is Matchbox and was built basically out of the box. The model depicts A/C 39407/P of 675 Bomber Squadron "Dauntless Demons", 417 BG, of the 5th AF, SW Pacific, September 1944. Paint was a mix of Modelmaster enamels, and I also used the kit decals. Of course as a kit of this type it was relatively easy, and has its flaws, but I had always liked the paint scheme, and the markings were interesting. Plus I learnt a little more about Havocs. Enjoy. Adam
David M. Knights Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I like it. I always thought the A-20 was a good looking airplane.
ghodges Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I have to agree. Good looking airplane and a sweet looking model! Congrats on a fine build and thanks for letting us share in it! GIL
Ron Bell Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Here's another take on the A-20, this time by Airfix. It's interesting to compare and contrast these older kits.
MikeMoore Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Nicely done. Some of you guys really get great looking builds out of those older kits! Mike Moore
RobMorales Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Love 'em, guys! Keep those Havocs coming!
ghodges Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Very nice Ron! Spinning silk from sow is nothing new for you though! GIL
