Ron Bell Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Normally my interest area is small scale armor, but I also dabble in WWII aircraft of Bomber Command. I am also into 'nostalgia modeling'. That's where you build the old Airfix/Frog/Revell models as best as they can be built without getting all AMS about it. Its modeling for fun. Anyway, here are some pictures of three of the main heavies of Bomber Command. The Sterling by Airfix, and a Halifax and Lancaster by Matchbox. They look pretty good in my display case and even better in a slightly out of focus photo. Enjoy. I have found that I can't get the images to post, so please excuse their absence and resume your normal viewing.
PaulBradley Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Welcome to the club, Ron! May I take the opportunity to invite you to join the Classic British Kits SIG? http://classicbritishkitssig.blogspot.com/
Mark Aldrich Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Way to go Ron.....Get my hopes and aspirations up and the CRASH!!!!!! No photos!!!!! Hope you can get it figured out. Mark
Ron Bell Posted February 6, 2010 Author Report Posted February 6, 2010 Paul, Now you've got me scared. I already joined. Did I do something to get thrown out and then re-instated? Mark, I'm a techno-Luddite. There will be no figuring. One problem is that I am on a MAC and I have directions on how to do it via a PC. Part of what I got only works if I do it backwards and even at that, I can only get one picture to work,....maybe. Maybe I'll try it on the Unofficial Airfix Forum and see if it works there. Anyone out there with a MAC that has advice, I'd be grateful.
ghodges Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Oh, THAT'S the problem. Sorry Ron, it's probably the only time I can ever be justly accused of being a PC guy. GIL
Mark Aldrich Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Ron, I have never owned a Mac and probably never will. Best of luck!!!!
