SkyKing Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 Possibly a new IPMS category: "Die-oramas." http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/hold-these-tiny-crime-scenes-in-the-palm-of-your-hand
ghodges Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 Very odd..... While we "war mongers" are blamed for glorifying violence with our model building, I've never seen anything like those, where out and out murder is emphasized, in our hobby. The builder comes across (intentionally or not) as a disturbed individual. GIL

pmhayward Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 Need a dio of the opening scene to Goodfellas....Four guys and a Impala...well one is in the trunk begging for his life, still a great movie.
dmorrissette Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Dioramas are not well done but the subjects don't bother me. There's kits of Jack the Ripper and stuff sooo.
ipmsusa2 Posted August 27, 2016 Report Posted August 27, 2016 Dave, I agree that the subjects don't bother me. Frankly, I'd be surprised if she didn't build these types of dioramas since both she and her husband work in various areas of law enforcement. Science Fiction and Fantasy kits & figures...especially fantasy...make her dieoramas look tame.
Mark Deliduka Posted August 27, 2016 Report Posted August 27, 2016 Given that information about them being in Law Enforcement, this might be considered a type of therapy for them to do these. The execution could certainly be a bit better, but then the pics were pretty poor quality keeping me from seeing too much.
