FINALLY!!!! Had this one as a little kid. My dad built it for me back in 68 or 69ish? Anyway, always wanted to build one but no way am I paying collector prices for it. THANK YOU ATLANTIS!!!!! https://atlantis-models.com/preorder-uss-bainbridge-1-600-atlantis-aurora/

THANK YOU! I was really hoping Mr. Surfacer would work, saves me a little money now!

Yep, since I already have Tamiya and Mr surfacer, I was going to do some testing with those. I read a thread from 2023 about some issues with Duplicolor. I may just end up picking up the MCW primer. Thanks for the info.

Well......I have a problem. My problem is that I build plastic models and I can't stop. Now I have started to slide into the dark side and picked up 3 car kits...........sigh. Will the madness ever cease?? Picked up two Tamiya 1/12 Formula 1 kits....the Matra is soooooo cool!, the Moebius 1971 Ranger XLT and to add insult to injury, decided to pick up the ArmaHobby P-51B dual kit for the IPMS review site.

Those kits had some pretty nice detail for the time. Looking forward to seeing this one!!

What primer did you use?

Great job on that kit!!! I'm probably gonna ++++ some folks of though by saying......THAT is one ugly jet. Looks sorts pregnant!

THAT is stunning! Great job Gil!

LOL! "Quick build" he says........that would take me a month or more! Love that finish!

Heck, for $5 it's the best A6M3 kit in the world! Decals were a bit stubborn but finally kinda, sorta settled down.

Best product for mounting clear / window parts?

I just picked up the UV clear resin for use on my Williams Bros. B-10 and that crappy triangular belly clear piece! -
Nice job on an oldie! I never knew Matchbox made one of those!

I use this and have had no problems with it. Cleans up with a lightly moistened Q Tip and dries clear. I even use it for some P/E parts. -
Thanks guys, but I have to admit that Tamiya paint makes my paint job look better!

The Otaki 1/48 Ki-43-II (still a nice, easy and fun kit) and the Airfix 1/72 Spitfire F Mk. 22/24 (A pleasure to build...until you get to the stencils!!!). Both were built OOB. I'm not a big Spitfire fan but I kinda dig these Griffon engine versions. So much so that I just ordered an Airfix 1/48 kit!!
