Finished! Now on display....warts and all....
-
I used Alclad 2 airframe aluminum along with Alclad gloss black primer. these are the latest pics
-
It's a shame because the quality of Zvezda's products is very good. I can't help but wonder how long it's going to take for the russian people to wake up.
-
Decided to go for an all metal finish.
-
Here's another update....I like to use black CA to fill seams and then polish them out. If you are sparing with it you can really get a nice finish. Manicure polishing tools really work well. Just don't let your wife know where they come from...

latest pic of the Beaufort build....
-
So far, this has been a reasonably easy build. The instructions are very clear. Extremely small amount of flashing. The parts all seem to fit well with only common sense trimming, sanding and adjusting. I am really impressed with Mig Ultra Liquid Mask. I "Hate" masking canopies with tape! Also, the new blue glue....I wonder why we didn't think of this one sooner.

latest project....Airfix 1/72 Bristol BEAUFORT..... One of my all time favorite airplanes. Would love to get a 1/48 scale kit of this plane. hopefully Airfix will do one in this scale.
-
Finally got it done! Such as it is...
-
Thank you! Taking a little break for my nerves! This is not going to be a "Magnum Opus"...... but, since I haven't really built anything for a few months it's a good project to get my "muscle memory" back! I am amazed as to how quickly we lose the skills if we don't continue to use them. Also.....the changes that have happened in the last year or so.....

Future dries quick! Love it! Pulled the masking off the canopy and was really pleased with how well it came out.
-
It's drying time again.....coat of Future to seal everything and get ready for decals
-
The canopy has been masked off and will be ready for paint as soon as it dries. Just good old masking tape and AMMO LIQUID MASK. Starting to really like that stuff
-
The canopy is installed, the seams have been puttied and smoothed,,,,, Now it's time to mask the canopy and spray the cover coat.
