Looks Good so far. What Scale is this? Chris
  2. AS of this Saturday 9/11/10: German 1/35 223 armoured radio car 1/35 Tiger-I 1/35 Russian T-55 Captured Russian T-34 used by the Germans for a Dio. Chris
  3. David, No I have not. I am hearing good things about it and have read several build reviews that people have used it. I will have to try it. As far as the PE, I recommend it. I did file down around the edges to smooth them out and there is some small putty work to be done in spots that the PE cannot get to. Went on very fast with no real problems. Chris
  4. Well first let me say that this model looks great. Now a little whinning: 5 fricking hours from start to finish. You guys that do 1/72 scale armour are amazing. James I say you guys, because I'm throwing the Duke in there too. I maybe could get half of one side of road wheels done in five hours. I bow to greatness. Great job, Chris
  5. I not sure if I would call it love Mark, But I am feeling the heat , big time. I have opened the boxed and smell of the new plastic was intoxicating. Most likely I will start it the year. The wife is on my back for new cabinet doors and bunch of other stuff . I think you know where I'm going with this one. So fellow Treadhead I will make every effort to get this thing done. Chris
  6. I don't think I will get it done or even started, but My new Dargon M-7 "Priest" model kit I just got this year is the one I want to build the most. I guess this will be on next years list. Chris
  7. Really looking forward to the photos Duke. Chris
  8. AHH Crap!! Just when I thought I was being so good.
  9. The Duke said; Another day, another ten models worked on..... He measures his model work day by how many models he did, I measure my model day by how much I did on one model. I think Ken had it right. You must have an IV bag filled with something next to your work bench. First thing you do is hook it up. Amazing, just amazing. Chris
  10. Duke, Love all your models. You scare me, when you say that you added a couple of whatever to you Russian Army, or Britsh Army. You really mean it. If model collection were to go at each other, you win , hands down. I am amazed at the quality and volume that you continue to put out. Not to mention all the different subjects, i.e. aircraft, armour, etc. Great job, keep-um-coming. I just read a story about the, "Cuckoo" in the latest AMPS, "Boresite" issue. Interesting subjuct. It was a German Panther Ausf. G used by the British 4th Armoured Battalion. They used it for several months until the tank broke down. Neat subject! Chris
  11. I try to advoid them, but if I do get into one. I gurantee that I will get warned. If I believe in something and feel very strongly about it, I do not back down and have no problem telling someone where to stick it. That being said. I'm going to enjoy my time in the sunshine for now and build as many armour kits as possible.
  12. Mark/Ed, Thanks!! 0% I guess I'm still one of the good guys!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA They Love me, they really really love me> I'm so Happy. Chris

Mark, U the Man. Thanks!! Chris
  14. This question is probable for Dennis, but if anyone know please help. What is the Warning 0% thing below my name an info to that shows up every time I make a post. I don't see anybody else with this. Am I special? Am I on some sort of propation? What is this? This has been bugging me for some time now. Just wanted to know. Chris Graeter Prison I.D. # unknown
  15. I don't use a turn table either. I use many things. A block of wood (piece of a 2x4) with the model sitting on it, turn as you spray. Also I hang a small piece of wire from the top of my spray both. Hang the model off of it, you can turn it as you need and it stays in place. Chris

    BT-5 plus

Gary, Just read this review by Cookie Sewell over on Missing-Links. He is reviewing the new Tamiya BT-7 kit, but gives a very good history of the Bt series. He does talk about the tracks. This should help. I learned a lot by just reading this. Are you feeling loved yet? :P http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/yuri_pasholok/bt-5/ Chris
  18. Mark and Gary thanks, As I'm sure I'm not alone on this, but I usually hate doing road wheels. But in this case the process was very smooth. Either I'm getting really good at this or must have had one too many beers that night. Chris

    BT-5 plus

Hi Gary, Here is a link to a pretty good walk around of the BT-5. Hope this helps. I must say that I do no know much about this tank. I do know that the design was by an American and that the RZussians bought the design and the BT-5 was basically the same design. The BT-7 had a different turret. The same over all design was also used for the T34 series. From what I know and read the tracks are the same. Well there is my great fill of info for you. Enjoy, P.S. You build Armour, whats not to love about that? Chris http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/yuri_pasholok/bt-5/
  20. Yes I did notice all the fine scratch building and add on's. Looks like a lot of work. Stick with it. This build is really looking good. After paint I will put money on it that this will really pop. I'll see if I can get my Tiger-I done about the same time you get this one done. See you at the finish line. Chris
  21. This is taking shape very nicely. I love seeing your work. Really like to see AFV used by different countries. Chris
  22. Started work on the road wheels and drive sprockets. All have been spray painted with Tamyia Dark Yellow paint. Giving a heavey dark wash then dry brushed again with Tamiya dark yellow. The sprockets and the outer edges of the wheels were weathered with a graphite pencil to show contact with the track. Before I attach them to the model I will weather them with Mig pigments and more weathering techniques.
  23. Went to Michael's yesterday. No luck! Will have to try JoAnne's or Walmart. Still looking.
