Wulf Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Hey all, This one's hot off the bench. It's Tamiya's 1/48 262. This was a true 'add glue and shake' kit. Superb design and kit all the way 'round. I had it ready for paint in 5 days (which is a miracle for me). The paint scheme was a bit of a challenge but came out okay. Added seat belts, brake lines and antenna wiring. Comments always welcomed... Andy
66Foxtrot Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Beautiful job! That's a really great kit....I did the same scheme a year or so ago.
Dick Montgomery Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 That's really superb paint work! Weathering along the panel lines is also very well done.
ghodges Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Very nice! The 262 is one of the few planes that looks menacing even while sitting on the ground, and your model captures that ! GIL
Dreamsof51 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Nice work all around. Thanks for posting. Chris
Mark Deliduka Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Sweet job man! That is one incredible plane!
Wulf Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 Thanks for the kind words gentlemen... Andy
Wildcat Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I did one of those a few months back and it really is a great kit. Great job on yours.
Mark Aldrich Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Excellent Work. I think Monograms 262 was one of the first airplane models I ever built. Holds a special place.
