Hey everyone,

New member here, saying Hello.

My focus here is to be apart of this community by offering advice, tips, and references for current and new members in order to overcome any current or consistent struggle with ongoing projects. I will also be asking questions on things I am struggling with on any modeling/diorama works in progress.

I primarily assemble and paint Warhammer miniatures, but after attending this years Capitol Classic in Taylor, Texas I am adding other models (historically accurate) to my collection. I am looking forward to getting to know some of you in hopes of bettering my knowledge of both historical accuracy and modeling/painting approaches.

Regards,

Christian

Dick,

Just wondering. Why is the show so early this year?

The date was determined by other groups booking the facility a few years ago for 3 and 4 years in a row. Jan 4 was open so we took it. Also, we did not want to go further into the calendar and cause conflict with other Region 6 clubs which already had their dates and locations set.
Fortunately, we have been looking at 2025 and other years and we can slide back ModelFiesta during those years into late January, February or even March.

Only open date for the venue.

We lost our previous venue (it was sold) and previous shows here had us sharing space with a hard depart time (we had to encourage folks to leave).

January show this year and next, then (IIRC) we go back to our Feb schedule.
