Anyone else having trouble accessing FSM Website

Been trying to access their website the last few days and nothing happens.  The first time a few days ago when I tried I got a message that sort of said an error had occurred and it would be checked (or something like that).  Since then I just get a Gateway timed out message.  Did email them and got a automated response but no solution. Wondering if anyone else is having problems.

Using an iPad on WiFi, I was able to get on the site. Most of the tabs opened, some slower than others, but no gateway error messages or other error messages. I did see two messages from Tim Kidwell in the Forum apologizing for the gateway error problem, but one was in April and the other in August. He did say they were working on the problem, but shoot, that was a month ago.

Try rebooting your device and/or your router/modem, see if that helps.

Yup… no success getting the site to open at all over the past several days.

Had problems getting to the weekly newsletter website using Chrome.  Did get to it using Edge.  Just logged onto the FSM website with Edge.  When I tried with Chrome, it timed out.  Been going on for several days.

Conversely, I just attempted to access using Edge.   No joy.    Inconsistent results using DuckDuckGo.     Been unable to log on for months.

The site is truly knackered

Same issue here.

Just as an aside.... FSM recently changed owners and management. You might want to try to contact the new owners to see if they're letting the old website go under or not spending the money needed to update/repair it; setting up a new FSM website under their own umbrella of websites; or doing away with that side of FSM altogether as a cost cutting measure.

Did receive a reply from FSM that the issue is due to the change over to the new owners.  They said it would be worked out shortly but did not give any further time line.

The new owners of FSM have changed the website completely.

Personally I think it is a bit of a mess compared to the original to navigate, although apparently some like the new one.

The gallery that so many contributed to over the years has been deleted completely. This was confirmed by Tim Kidwell when I emailed FSM to ask where I could find the gallery on the new site.

Thought I would look out FSM at a local bookstore. The paper magazine is but a shadow of its former self. About half the original thickness that I can remember and priced at around £8 here in the UK. It stayed on the shelf !

Wasn't Scale Auto supposed to be 'absorbed' into the FSM magazine ? Seen it time and again when a magazine gets integrated into another, after the fanfare of its integration the old magazine may as well not have existed. Far better for publishers to just come clean about discontinuing a magazine and just put a line under it instead of building up readers expectancy. I certain!y was not aware of any SA stuff ever bolstering FSM content when SA closed !
