1/72nd Revell F-14D

Recommended Posts

This was a "Out of Box" project. This kit I will recommend as not a difficult build but loaded with nice items such as Missiles nice interior,Great Decals.

This is my first attempt at a F-14 and their interesting "wear" schemes.ARvf3Bq.jpg?1

Kit decals were by Cartograf and worked very well. FXtVjb3.jpg?1

Paint was Vallejo for most part with Gunze used for the Cockpit exterior section. Final finish was Testors "Dull-Coat" decanted. A friend of mine with aircraft photography said dirty and flat is accurate. Most photos I found verify this.

Terrific looking Tomcat! You did an excellent job of capturing the varying colors in an otherwise drab scheme, and your weathering shows the wear on a fleet bird without being overdone. That'll be a proud addition to your shelf. Congrats!

Brilliant work! Makes my Tomcats look like toys! Way to go on an awesome finish that I have no clue how to replicate.
