I hope I got these looking about right. I did the best I could. I know the lanyard isn't quite sitting on the ground on the M-101, but that's an easy fix. Here they both are, starting with the M-101: Next is my M-102 Lightweight 105. I know this is not accurate due to the base OD color and the roll bar, but I'd already gotten it mostly done by the time I got the info. I'll be leaving this one as is; the rollbar does make it look pretty distinctive. My next one will be more accurate when I start it, now that I know what to do. Anyway, here is the M-102: I'm calling these done, thanks to the information from a couple of redlegs. I appreciate all the help I got from everyone for these guns. Thanks all for looking, comments are welcome.

Thanks Von! I appreciate it. Getting comments like this always helps to keep me motivated to work on more. The more comments I get, the more I finish! :D

Thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments. Especially of the glass Gil. That was tough. Ed, I actually got some feedback from several Russian friends I have and most of the suggestions they had were beyond me to do. However, they did like the work I did on it. I'm pleased. Now to get to my other two Russian bombers.....

Hey all, here she is in all her glory. This is Trumpeter's 1/72 scale Tu-16 Badger in Russian Navy markings: My apologies for that last pic. I'll try to get a sharper image later. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome.

Anyone else excited for the Revell Tom Daniels kits?
Mark Deliduka replied to philp's topic in Cars, Trucks, & Motorcycles
Ah! THAT one! Now THAT would be a model to enjoy!! I also hope it comes out! Thanks for setting me straight Phil! -
Thanks Gil! Yeah, in these pics it looks great! In person the flaws show up fairly well. Oh well, I am still proud of having gotten this built. Most every other modeler would have simply thrown this away after what happened when the paint stripping went wrong. Ken, thanks. Maybe someday we can meet up. As for a certain person's performance, I can honestly say that things weren't as bad as was perceived in that performance. Then again, I am speaking as one who was involved on almost all levels of the event as much as possible, so my view is a bit different. There were many things that happened to give the same perception to many others but that is not for me to discuss. Maybe some day you could come to an Orangecon and possibly in a friendly, polite way find out some more info. Hey, if that don't work, you could always avoid each other. LOL! Once again, thanks for the compliments. I shall indeed keep modeling on!

Thanks Dave. I'm sorry to be missing you in Columbus, but I'll be sure to get quite a few pics of small scale armor too. I agree, the Journal doesn't seem to put too many of them in. Thanks for the great reply and maybe someday we can hook up.

I use a product from Hobbyco called Liquid Mask, and it seems to sit fine over Future. It does leave a slight cloudiness when lifted off after several days though. All I do then is get a sharpened Popsicle stick and scrape it off, then re-coat with another coat of Future. Edit: Goo Gone also takes the film off; leaving my canopies clear and shiny. I apply with a Q-tip and wipe clean with a paper towel. Hope this helps. Good luck.

No apologies necessary. Feel free to cruise in anytime.

Anyone else excited for the Revell Tom Daniels kits?
Mark Deliduka replied to philp's topic in Cars, Trucks, & Motorcycles
That one's been out. I saw one at John's Models in Pensacola, and Jim's store in Orange, as well as a couple other hobby shops. I also had built the one that came in the 'collector tin'. I'd also built the Police Paddywagon. I can't wait for these others. I want to build all the om Daniel's cars! -
Thanks Ken! You may not be into Armor, but in addition to these two planes I have several armor models in progress as well. Feel free to check them out. Thanks again for the great reply! Too bad you're so far away, I'd love to meet you at an Orangecon someday.

You're welcome Dave. I have alot more projects also going on. Check out my two 'In Progress" Threads on the Aircraft and Armor Forums to see more. Thanks for the comments.

Now on for more progress on my Armor.... or should I say Artillery? Here are the pics of ACE's little gems. Now I have them painted and it looks as though I'll be finishing these up in no time. This one is ACE's M-101 105mm artillery piece: Now for a bit more modern piece. This is ACE's M102 105mm lightweight gun: Both of these were painted with Tamiya Olive Drab in a spraycan that I had left over. Thought I'd just try and finish that can off. I still have some. Next is Italeri's "90/53 gun and Servants" ( Love that title! :D ) I got it all painted up in WWII Italian camo green by Polly Scale. Neat little model even though it's all semi-soft plastic: I had also started a German gun but hadn't gotten enough progress done to justify pics. Next post. Well, that's about all I have to show for now. Maybe I'll have more finished by tonight. Meanwhile, comments are welcome. Thanks all for looking....

Now that I finished my RF-4 Phantom, I'm concentrating on getting this Badger done. I've made some good progress here, getting the decals on. Then after that, I added all the gear bay and bomb bay doors as well as all the fiddly little antenna bits, and even the tail guns. Now all that's left is some touchup painting and detail work. Here she is: You can see that I made it a Guards aircraft even though the instructions say nothing about it. I also added the Excellence award to this plane as well. Hey they were on the decal sheet so I used them! A shot of the opposite side nose art: Next are some fuzzy close up shots of the wingtips showing the nav lights. Pretty cool: Here's the completed tail finally. No more gaping maw to look at: And now of course, the payload. A bomber's gotta have a payload right? Well, that completes my 'walk-around' of this model that is so close to being finished! I can't wait! Thanks for looking, comments are welcome.

Yes! I have finally finished this freakin' model! The white ain't clean, the canopy is not clear, the decals were splattered by overspray from something else, the yellow bled through, and overall there's a ton of additional things that keep this from being anything close to being a contest-worthy model. I ain't gonna be rakin' in the awards with this one! But it is finished and I am proud and relieved. Proud because of what I recovered it from and relieved because it was so much hassle getting it finished! Without further ado, here are the pics: I'll try to get another shot showing the underside of the nose. There's actually camera lenses inside to make it look like cameras. Well, thanks all for looking, comments are welcome.

Thanks guys! I just got home from my vacation to Florida. I appreciate the comments. Dave, I do hope to see you at the convention. It would be a blast to talk small scale with someone. Thanks again everyone!

That's what I would do. I envy you. This model is on my list of models to buy. I've been wanting one for a long time.

Hey all, I managed to get four models finished by the end of May. Here they are in no particular order: From the Braille Scale Group Build on the LEM, we have the PST 1/72 scale GMC CCKW tractor trailer truck: From the Kursk Group Build on the LEM, which I didn't finish in time; here is my Dragon 1/72 scale T-34/76 1941 with cast turret, sans one hatch. If I find it I'll install it. Otherwise, I'm calling this one done for now: And finally, from ACE, this is my 1/72 scale Russian 122mm A-19 Artillery piece: And finally I also have my Morser Karl and munitionspanzer finished. This is Hasegawa's 1/72 scale 54cm Morser Karl with munitionspanzer done up as Loki. First, Loki himself: Here's the accompanying munitionspanzer: Finally, here are the two together: I'm glad to finally get those beasts done! Thanks all for looking, comments are welcome.

The Morser Karl is finished, at least the main gun is. The munitionspanzer still has a ways to go. One of the tracks broke so I'm waiting for it to dry now, and then the crane needs to be rigged. Then I'll be able to call that part of it finished. Meanwhile, here are the shots of the completed Karl Loki: Now on to the newest projects that I just started today. I had picked up some dio buildings by Italeri, and decided, these looked simple enough to just throw together. Here they are: These next couple of models are for you Redleg. This first one is ACE's 1/72 scale M 101 howitzer. I started out trying to get the barrel done: The next day, I finished it off: Nice looking little bugger, if I do say so myself. Well, since I started an M 101, I guess I'd best start an M 102 to go with it. Here it is started already. I have the gun resting in the lower carriage for now: Yeah, I'll have to drill out both barrels on both these guns That will come later. Last but not least, here is another gun I built. This is the Italeri 1/72 scale Italian 90 mm gun and crew. This gun is molded in soft plastic which was surprisingly firm. the gun went together fairly well and looks pretty good. Even though it is more designed for the wargamer market, I'm thrilled to have an Italian gun in my inventory for once! Here it is: Well, that finally brings me to the end of this building session. Feel free to check out the progress I made on my aircraft in the Aircraft Forum. I doubt I'll get anything more done before I leave for Florida, so thanks all for looking and comments are welcome.

Well, I finally got enough progress done to update this post. Here are my pics of my latest progress. I'll start with my Trumpeter Tu-16 Badger. I finally got this one up on her pins. All that is left is adding the stinger in the tail and then detailing it out with all the fiddly antenna bits and bobs. Here she is: She's a bit dirty but nothing a little water and soft cloth won't clean up. Next I got the final decals on the RF-4 Phantom. All that is left are the decals on the wheel doors and the wing tanks. I'm hoping to get them all on today. And now for two pother models that I just started today. These are two simple models I picked up in San Diego. This next one is a simple little kit that I got from Phillip's Hobbies "Trunk of Shame" It's the PM Models 1/72 scale Horten Ho229. I've always liked this little flying wing, and some research I did indicate that one did fly. Hey, the price was right, and so here it is. Oh, one more model is this model of the Mi-1 "Halo"(?) that I picked up also from the "Trunk of Shame". Interesting semi-transparent plastic, but then Gran always seems to use it. Here it is: You can see where the Mi-8 came from looking at this model. Well, that finally brings me to the end of this building session. Feel free to check out my Armor thread in the Armor Forums showing my latest work there too. I doubt I'll get anything more done before I leave for Florida, so thanks all for looking and comments are welcome.

Okay, I have finally found some time to get some progress done. Here we are a month later and I only have a little to show, but that's because I've had no time to work on anything! This is all work on my Armor so far. I'll start with my A-19 Russian gun. It's all painted and ready for weathering. Next I got some more work done on my 8 rad. I'll have t repaint the tires: I just need to finish that darn thing! Finally, I am completely done with the Morser and the munitionspanzer. All that is left is clearcoat, decaling, dullcoat, weathering and rigging the munitionspanzer crane: I'll still get some more bench time later today; I'll post me next progress then. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

I had no idea, but then again if it ain't in 1/72 scale, I wouldn't! LOL! :o

Pyreman got the right one. That is Testor's kit. A few points on it though. Your friend doesn't need an ALPS printer unless he needs to print white. Otherwise, if he buys white decal paper, he'll have the white automatically. The Testor's kit comes with a spraycan of sealant inside and I have used it to seal old decals that I had from old kits. It is good stuff. As for the computer program included in the kit, it is difficult to work with in that you cannot just import any design. It is very complicated. I would recommend not even usiong the program and just doing as suggested: Scan to Paint and go from there. As mentioned above, if there is any white in the decals, he will need to print them on white decal paper or the white parts will come out clear as regular inkjet printers cannot print white. In that event, he can paint the model white where the decals are supposed to go and then place the decal over the white painted portion. A bit of trouble there, but it is an alternative in the event he cannot get white decal paper. I hope this helps a little. Pass on my best wishes to your friend and I hope he succeeds in getting the decals fixed.

Any good runs of small scale armor pics? Never mind, I can get those from the Missing Lynx Braille Scale Forums.....

Gil, thanks for both your replies. I was probably typing my previous one when you posted the first time. I appreciate it and I'm looking forward to seeing your Firefly. Which one are you gonna do? I've built four of them so far: One Canadian, one 'Beute' and two British ones. Dave, thanks for the compliment on my Stryker. And I did go to see your Yahoo group a couple times to see your work. I also saw your 1/72 scale Kubelwagen award winning model from Buffcon posted by a friend on the LEM. He posted it particularly for me since it was 1/72 scale and so well done. He knew I'd appreciate it even more since I always build that scale. As for posting here, well, I may have to see if I can show you in Columbus if I can make it to the Nationals. I hope you make it too. Thanks again you two for the great replies. I really appreciate hearing from my fellow IPMS members.
