This is for this years convention in San Marcos!

Do you have a list of vendors and if so when are you going to post it? Enquiring minds want to know! Happy New Year, Mike

The PE parts in the kit I plan on building are the hinges on the flaps! I plan on leaving the flaps up so I really do not need the hinges. Mike

I am planning on building a Trumpeter 1/32 Dauntless. The kit has PE seatbelts, does that disqualify it from this category? If so, can I still enter it in that category if I do not use the seatbelt’s? Mike

To those who tried to add Tuesday and had issues, I do not know what happened to your reservation but for me it worked and the entire process was the easiest process in all the nationals that I have been too. To Len you did a great job! Mike

What was the final count on the number of models entered in the convention? Mike -
The facility has nothing to do with the UW! It is not located on campus. It is a short distance from downtown Madison. It should be a really good convention.

My three choices would be: loveland, co columbus, ohio st Louis, missouri

One last question, I am finishing up a couple of armor kits that have that black “screening” material in it that is used as a engine screen in the kits. would that be allowed? It really adds nothing to the overall finish/detailing of the kit. thank you for your assistance, Mike

All I was asking was what region. I didn’t ask for a specific club. Mike

What region is the bid from?

How to get new BKB evaluation
MRechlicz replied to TheMongoose's topic in About the IPMS/USA National Convention
As a general guideline, kit parts that are necessary to complete and support the overall structure of the completed model are allowed. However, other kit parts that provide enhanced surface-detailing to a completed model will not be allowed for a BKB entry. What exactly does the above statement mean? It is copied from the BKB rules. Again thanks for all the responses as I just want to make sure of what the BKB rules allow and not allow. Mike -

How to get new BKB evaluation
MRechlicz replied to TheMongoose's topic in About the IPMS/USA National Convention
I have an armor question for the BKB category. I am building a German halftrack and the only pe is mud flaps and the pieces where you put your license plates. Now the license plate holders are flat and you would never know that they are pe once the decals are on them. The mud flaps add no additional detail to the kit. So would this qualify for BKB or not? Thank you for your input. Mike
