DennisTennant Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Mark Fiedler asked me to post his latest in-progress photos from his P-6E project. Here they are:
Dick Montgomery Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 That is looking great! Thanks for sharing.
ghodges Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 AAAAHHHHHHH!!! Run away ...... run away! That's the old Combat 1/32 kit, and it's an accomplishment just to get that far. Nice looking cockpit too! I'm rooting for ya to finish this one, and look forward to more pics of your progress. GIL
aAzZ09 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments. So far, this project has taken about 490 hours of spare time since September of 2009 to get to this point. I'm still having some trouble getting photos of my work to this site, and I thank Dennis Tennant for giving me a hand on this until I can get the bugs worked out of this software. Anyway, I'm almost finished with the tail section. Next, the wing section will be installed, the landing gear after that, followed by the cabane struts in front of the windshield. Then it's paint and masking time to replicate the familar "Snow Owl" markings of the 17th Pursuit Squadron, Selfridge Field, Michigan, in 1932.
