RickCummelin
Just curious... Is Wednesday just for set-up? Or will there be plenty of Vendors and other activities to make it worthwhile to attend on Wednesday?
AZRhino
The doors will open Wednesday afternoon. While some vendors may still be setting up, the vast majority should be in the hall and up and running. Also, it is a good opportunity to get your registration packet and enter your models before the big crush on Thursday and Friday. philp
It is a good day to take in some of the sites in Phoenix. There are a few museums in and around worth hitting and the Diamondbacks might be in town that night.

ghodges
If you can afford the extra night's stay....GO! You can hit most of the vendors early, register and enter your models early Thursday when it's not hectic and the lines are short. It also gives you one extra day to talk to friends, hang out, and have fun. Being there on Wednesday just makes for a more relaxed convention if you have the financial means to allow for it. Dick Montgomery
The Diamondbacks are not in town until Thursday. During the last Phoenix convention we took advantage of the opportunity to go see the D-Backs. It's within walking distance of the convention hotel and was a pleasant excursion. Definitely consider this as an option.
WarthoMKL
The Diamondbacks are not in town until Thursday. Luckily I fly in Sunday before so am planning on going Monday or Tuesday to see them against Texas and visit Pima. Never been to a game before
ghodges
I went to a game at the Phoenix Nats a few years back and it was great fun. The stadium is great, and most likely the roof will be closed and the a/c cranked up full. GIL :smiley16:
WarthoMKL
You have air con in a stadium!!!! In the UK we are lucky if we have Air Con in a car or at least one that works. Mind you it is cooler and wetter here in August this may be my only chance to see the sun all summer :smiley16:
