  1. 1/200 BB's are nice but I need another house to store them. However if there was a pre WW1 era ship I would have to buy one anyway. For aircraft a WW1 ventage in 'super scale' would be welcome. I hope that in future model contest the big ships will be broken out from the rest as they are not in the same class as 350. (and yes I know on the national level it is)
  2. I mixed a little TAM Clear Red with the TAM Smoke for F-16 canopies, (airbrush) it worked out very well. Just spray on the inside and it comes out looking real outside.
  3. I place the image in MS Publisher; I can resize without losing any pixels, (the image will be clearer), and then run a test on plain paper to check size, when satisfied print to decal film. I also use clear lacquer like Pete.
  4. Have not had that problem with this site in the last couple of months with my W7, but facebook will lock up almost every time. Have you cleared your cache files?
  5. Thanks Don the order I placed said the wire was .012 for 1/24 scale so that should work I think. Edit note: Thought I might add some info for anyone wanting to order from Detail Master. The store is run part time, you may have to wait a while for your order to process. Contacting the owner may improve the speed but she has family matters that come first. For my needs it was no problem, but if you are in a rush contact her first. Please read the policies page on the website for more details. http://www.detailmaster.com/pages/policies.html They have a lot of cool products for a very good price, the owner is good about following up with your email and so far no complaints about customer service. Just be patient
  6. I'm building a stock engine, thanks for heads up on the race engine parts. Thanks guys!
  7. I'm looking for a good source for plug wires and possible radiator hoses. Thanks
  8. Less to do with EPA more to do with hazard of fire on flights. WEM said if they shipped by sea they could still do it, but shipping by air on passenger aircraft was the problem. They could ship by FedEx or UPS but the cost would be higher. We had a heck of a time getting paint and glue over to Afghanistan because of the shipping hazard.
  9. Enamel may well be going out. Shipping is getting to be a real pain. WEM can no longer ship paint outside UK through the UK Postal system. The private shippers can still get it through customs but that may end too. Like it or not the water based paint may soon be the only game in town.
  10. A reasonably priced Fuso would be nice. Still want more 350 cage mast USN!!!!!
  11. Ha 1/200 scale is way to big for me. But a big scale ship of the line is tempting!
  12. I would love that but my love would hate me for the price... lol Still if they would cover more WW I or pre WW I that would be great. There must be more models of Sherman tanks and P-51's out there than was ever built in 1/1 scale. So we are not alone in the over marketing of a subject. :Smile_sceptic:
  13. I'm not big cruiser guy but if there was a kit of this one I might have to get it. CA 132 USS Macon
  14. sent you a link on FB for what I use. They work good for removing nubs from thin PE also.

    Resin Iron Clads

I'll second that Dave, nice kits and product support is top notch! Rusty has more ships than any other brand. For larger scales and a bit more money is Cottage Industries. http://www.cottage-industries.com/
  16. Thanks Mark yes they are out of Hong Kong my bad.
  17. Not sure Chris, Dragon is Korean. MWS guys would know more about that. I'm wondering if the current events over there have something to do with what DML plans.
  18. Japan seems to go for the 1/500 scale the most, so some of the better kits are in 1/400+ to 1/500 range. The prices are far better as well. USA and Europe build the 700/350 range so we get the also ran stuff out of the asian markets. My goal is to keep as much as possible within the same scale so I tend to stick with 350. But if it's a must have and comes in another scale I have no problem with that.
  19. No you can see a few here in the Gallery. I don't post often but when I do I always post to IPMS first, stay plastic my friends.
