I wonder, maybe you'd consider shrinking some of them down to 1/72 scale for those of us who like to build in that smaller scale? Welcome once again and enjoy your time here. Thanks guys. I have been using Photobucket too, but not as my primary. I guess I'll do a bit of reorganizing on my photobucket and re-upload everything from Webshots. I hope I don't cause the system to crash! :P

I can't stop laughing every time I see this. Brilliant!!

I just logged into my Webshots account to find out that they are closing down and switching to a subscription-only format. I loved Webshots because I could upload as many pics as I wanted; keep them there without any limits on how many could be seen, organize them in as many folders as I needed, and didn't have to worry that some would be taken down if not viewed in a certain period of time. I also loved that I could upload any size pic and they wouldn't resize it or restrict it. I do have several pics of my entire armor collection that were left very large so that detail could be seen. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I could only hotlink small pics to any other site, so I never used it for that. I mostly used it to refer people to it so that all the models I currently have pictures of could all be seen by anyone who wanted to see them. There are currently 882 pics in 24 albums there and I was gonna add a few more pics, but now I can't since now they are going away. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a photo hosting site out there that is: *Free *Trustworthy *Able to host unlimited photos, possibly with no size restrictions (that part isn't too important though) *Won't take any of them down if not viewed within a specified period *Won't restrict how many can be viewed at a time *No limit on uploads (although I rarely if ever upload anything more than 5megs at a time give-or-take) *Will allow me to separate them into as many folders/albums as I want to keep them organized. I really could care less about the Facebook, Twitter and other social-network-linking features; that ain't so important to me. I would just love to be able to keep a webshots-type album set somewhere so I could keep a chronicle of my collection for anyone to look at. I have been looking and researching everyhting I could find and I have seen a couple sites that may fit the bill, but I'd like other opinions and reviews as well. Anyone wishing to see what I would love to replicate on another site, feel free to check out my Webshots page to see what I currently have that I've never had to pay for. I want to keep that going; especially since I have so many more models to shoot pics of. Thanks for any and all help anyone can offer.

Hey all, here's the latest armor I've completed. As of today, I've now completed 615 armor models to date. This first one is my Roden Opel Blitz Omnibus I just finished up. It isn't quite up to the level of quality I wanted, but the longer I worked on it; the more I broke things and extended the work on it. I finally just wanted to get it finished. Here it is: The next one is the Doc Models 1/72 scale CV-35 tankette: This model is only about an inch long. This next model is a bit larger. This is the UM models Russian Armored Train "Dzerzhinets". I added some coal to the tender to fill that hole that was screaming for something to fill it: That completes all my latest armor models finished. Feel free to check out my latest aircraft as well. Hey all, I tried my best to make this one look good, but it is a Roden aircraft after all. This is my Roden 1/72 scale Antonov An-12 Cub that I was finally able to finish when Squadron sent me my canopy. Check it out: I took these pics at Orangecon. Okay, another week has gone by and I actually got quite a bit done this week at Hobby Day Friday. I also have some finished models posted in their respective Forums so feel free to check them out too. They are not up to my usual standards, but they were giving me so much trouble that I just wanted to get them done! They were taking too long to finish.... Okay, now on to the latest progress I was able to make on Friday. I'll start with my armor. I took a break from my Dora this week but managed to get ahead on alot more projects. I got the tracks on three of my tanks. My Neubau Fahrzeug: My Churchill III: And my Churchill IV: Now these three are ready for paint....... and paint finishing.... Next I got some progress done on some of my railroad subjects. This first one is the railcars for the Morser Karl. They are completed and ready for paint: This next rail subject is the Hobby Boss 1/72 scale Russian Drasine "Krasnaya Zvezda". I had it assembled and finally got it painted: And finally, I managed to finish the quad Maxims for my armored train. Here it is before painting: That was a tough little thing to build. I apologize for the slightly blurry pics; it is so small, my camera had trouble focusing on it! Here it is finally painted and mounted on the engine. You can see that I also added coal to the tender: And now a shot of the finished engine and tender: For the finished train, check it out in the armored Forums where I have it posted along with my other armor. And now for my aircraft. Here is my latest work on the helicopter I'm building for the Call to Arms campaign on the Alliance. I got the cockpit painted and decaled here: Then I painted and added the crew: Here is the cockpit all closed up and ready for the fuselage: These are some of the extra small sub-assemblies I also built while waiting for the cockpit to dry. I also added filler to the seam of the exhaust pipes inside and out: Now to find a suitable "africa brown" to paint the main cargo bay with so I can close this puppy up. I may have some more progress later to show on other aircraft I'm working on so stay tuned. Meanwhile, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

Yeah it is! Makes me glad I only build in 1/72 scale! :D

The bubble may already be gone, and the white is a reaction of the Solvaset to the Future. Happens to me alot. Try applying some Future with a brush over the 'bubble' to see if it wicks underneath to cover the white area. If that happens, then the Future should dry clear again. Mine always does when I re-apply some over any solvaset reactions. Let me know what happens; maybe also post some pics to show the issue. Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob! Yeah, I should start showing some items next to that beast. I actually have a few Italeir and Pegasus 1/72 scale buildings that I could place next to Dora. One friend suggested that I pose the tiny 1/72 scale CV-35 Italian tankette I'd just finished next to this as well, That would be a sight to see! Thanks again for the great comment!

Gil, that's a "yes" to both questions! :lol: :lol: Thanks for the compliment! Thanks Chris! Yeah, she's a monster alright! And yes, the barrel is bent a bit; I haven't cemented the whole barrel together yet. That way I can still pack it into the box. I'll get it done eventually.

Okay, now that I finally managed to get my browser to work so I could upload pics, I tried earlier to post pics of my latest progress. Then the site where I was hosting them went down, wiping out my attempt to post anything! Now I'm trying again with my pics hosting somewhere else. This is my progress I made in the last couple days when I finally found some time to work on my models. I'll start with the Morser Karl on railcars that I'm doing for a Group Build on another Forum. So far I managed to get the railcars themselves done. Now to build the attachments that hold the Karl: Next I'm doing a couple models for another Group Build on yet another Forum. These are my two ACE anti-tank vehicles that I started. One is going to my Iraqi army, the other will be a captured Israeli vehicle. First the Iraqi one. I put some paint on it to see if that is the color I wish to use: Next the Israeli one. I need to glue it bit by bit to make sure it closes right: Now I also got my two Dragon Churchill tanks up to the painting stage. The Churchill Mk III: and the Churchill Mk IV: In aircraft, my DC-6 is now sanded smooth (I hope!) and waiting for paint. The An-12 Cub is finished, and I hope to get pics of it soon. Now on to my latest aircraft I started. This is the Zvezda 1/72 scale Mil Mi-26 Halo helicopter. I'm doing this for the Call to Arms Group Build on the Modeler's Alliance. First thing I did, naturally; was build the cockpit. Got it all done and ready for paint: The roof pieces are just dry-fit in there to help the bulkheads glue properly. I left them removable to make it easier to paint this cockpit assembly as you can see here: While that was drying; I assembled some of the detail parts to the interior of the fuselage halves, and added the windows to them as well. You can see how big this horse will be by the Exacto blade sitting between them for a size reference: Finally, I got the engine exhausts assembled and attached to the interior roof section in the main cargo bay: Last but not least, I didn't get much more done on the Dora; just a few detail pieces and some repairs of some parts that broke from traveling. Still, here is a couple of nice teaser pics showing where I am with this model so far: Yes, the counterweights do work: Well, that is all for now. I hope you enjoyed the factory tour. Oh man, this is looking sweet! I have a plastic kit of this plane in 1/72 scale that is somewhere in my stash. It's plaintive cry to "Build me!" is getting louder!

Dave thanks for posting. I apologize for getting back to you so late; I've been super busy lately and haven't even been to the workbench in two weeks. I did airbrush the base color first. Later, when I painted on the camo pattern, I would dip the fine brush in a little water (for the acrylic color) or paint thinner (for the enamel color) before adding paint to it. This would allow the color to flow better and lay down smoother to almost make it look airbrushed on. Sometimes the color would become too weak though and I'd have to paint over it again, but for the most part, it worked out fine. This is especially good to do for fine lines and small patterns, larger patterns are a bit tougher to do this way. I hope this helps. I do hope to see pics of your work soon too.

You can check out Floquill; I believe they have a bronze in a large bottle. If I recall it comes in two styles: Bronze and Aged Bronze. Floquill is a lacquer based paint. I could be wrong about the bronze though; this memory comes from the time I worked at a Hobby Shop about 15 years ago.
