Tamiya kit. Kit decals. Not much else to say. I think at least some of the dudes are from the old Monogram kit More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/me262_2_ms.htm
  3. Finished Aston: More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/autos/dbs_ms.htm
  4. For right now the wheels are straight off the sprue. I may try some Tamiya smoke, but they look pretty good to me as is.
  5. Four of us in my club are doing a "mini group build" of the new Tamiya kit. Mine is just about done. Waiting for the mailman to deliver some carbon fiber decals.
  6. Finished 1/43rd scale kit of Porsche 356 A. Note to self --- think twice before you do a gloss black car. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/autos/356a_ms.htm
  7. Finished white metal 1/43rd scale Austin Healey 100 from K & R Replicas in England. Not really happy with the metal headlamps so I left them loose until I can find some chrome rings and MV lenses. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/autos/healey100_ms.htm
  8. I just carefully sanded the paint until the white metal showed thru. One advantage to white metal kits.....

    F8U Crusader

The carrier deck is actually 1/48th. Verlinden made it years ago.
  10. Started on 356 while waiting for paint to dry on Healey. K & R Austin Healey and Record Porsche 356 A Cabriolet. Healey is white metal.

    F8U Crusader

Crusader finished. These newer releases of the 1/144th kits are simply amazing. They have almost the detail level of a 1/48th scale kit packed into 1/3 the size. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/f8u_144_ms.htm

    F8U Crusader

I ordered the kit from HLJ. Note that they are very limited run so you will have probably have to wait six months: http://www.hlj.com/product/PLZPD-17 The decals I sourced here: http://aaahobby.com/SSD.html

    Closing in on finishing Crusader.

    F8U Crusader

Platz F8U Crusader in teeny scale. Masked with poster putty. I did the silver leading edges and the front intake opening with a metallic paint marker. Really worked great. Only one or two little slips to fix. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/f8u_144_ms.htm

    F9F Panther

Actually the other markings in this kit are for Brubaker's "Bridges" panther. I did these just to be different....

    F9F Panther

Painting done on F9F. LE's were great fun to mask....
  18. Speaking for I Corps in 1969 - 70 time frame I recall that the Dustoffs were attached to the medical units rather than field units. No particular unit marking that I can recall. I do think that farther south there were medevac units attached to units in the Cav and probably had the crossed sabers markings.
  19. Great job! I always liked the African schemes.

    F9F Panther

OzMods 1/144th kit of the Panther. Plastic is very brittle so follow the directions to cut from trees with a razor saw. GSB waiting to dry.
  21. Typical Slo Hand.... Perfectly good AMT kit available and he goes this route! Excellent work so far, Gil
  22. Finished Heller 1/24th Bentley. Dedicated to my friend Martin Swire who passed earlier this year in England. He was a great guy and a terrific modeler. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/autos/bentley_ms.htm
