  1. This stuff is great! Second try and this is the result. It really is this glossy in person. Used high grade auto lacquer thinner and thinned pretty aggressively. Really hard to get this stuff to run.
  2. Thanks. I hit it with the nail polish but obviously didn't have it thinned right. Will get some more oven cleaner and then give it another try in a few days.
  3. Picked up a dozen bottles of woman's nail polish at a yard sale a few weeks back for $3.00. It is very finely ground enamel paint so it should work well on models. I shot it onto some scrap fuel tanks and it came out pretty good. Getting Provence Moulage Ferrari 250 GT ready to try it on.
  4. Finished Record 1/43rd XK-140 fixed head coupe. Had to scratch build the bumpers and the knock offs. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. More Here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/autos/xk140fhc_ms.htm
  5. One of the prettiest cars ever made. 1956 Jaguar XK-140 Fixed Head Coupe. Model is by Record in 1/43rd scale.

Eduard 1/144th scale Me-262. One in early camo and the other with late war defense of Reich bands. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/me262_144_ms.htm
  7. The dolly comes with the kit. The tractor and the figure do not. I have a box of "stock actors" that I call in for photo shoots.
  8. Finished the McDonnell XF-85 Goblin. Special Hobby 1/48th kit. Typical short run kit. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/xf85_ms.htm
  9. The original eggplane!! Special Hobby 1/48th XF-85.
  10. Frank Luke was one of my boyhood idols. Capt. Eddie was OK but Frank was a real rebel. 18 kills between September 12 and September 29, 1918 and the posthumous Medal of Honor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Luke Eduard twin kit with figures of Luke and Rickenbacker. As you can see, I am no figure painter. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/spad13_ms.htm
  11. It is Aeromaster Tan. Not sure of the FS #
  12. Some poster tack stuff from the office supply store that I have used for at least 10 years now. Works great once you get the hang of using it.
  13. Now I know why we see so few WW1 French aircraft models built --- frickin' 5 color camo!!
  14. Another fine job, Mr. Hodges.
  15. Sometimes I wonder why I do this. Three hours working on tiny bits of PE and making plastic look like wood that no one will ever see again. Eduard SPAD XIII in progress.
  16. Finished Platz 1/144th scale Skyhawks. If it weren't for the penny you would think they are 1/48th. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/a4_144_ms.htm
  17. Platz 1/144th A-4 Skyhawks. Two in one kit. I usually only build one kit at a time so I have not found this as enjoyable -- too hard to keep track of all those little parts. I also "connect" better with the subject when building and doing the research. The kits are very nice and rival 1/48th scale.
  18. Great seat!! You do very good work.
  19. Gloss coat is Future laid down with a 1/4" wide soft, flat brush. I let it dry overnight before decaling. MS
  20. Finished Tamiya 1/48th kit just in time for club meeting tomorrow. Kit decals. Doods are from ICM. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/mustangIII_ms.htm
  21. Once the model is as weathered as the workbench I know I'm done!!
  22. Tamiya 1/48th kit just about to get its dullcoat. Kit decals for Polish 315 Squadron
