Wildcat

I don't do contests. Sometimes I just superglue the bottom plates on. Sometimes I don't even use them. With resin kits like this that have no suspension I can't imagine that whether you use the screws or not affects the judging.

Bevelled the inside of the windows with one of those scraper tools from Squadron until the windows fit flush on the outside. Other than that just standard prep with Future.

One of the prettiest cars from the 50's. Winner of 1959 LeMans by Roy Salvadori and some guy named Carrol Shelby. This is a Starter resin kit. It has very nice spoked wire wheels and only a few resin bubble holes to be filled.

I use MEK which really "welds" the plastic so don't plan on messing with a spar.

A little more progress on the CA Hudson. Typical CA kit which means it takes a while.

The panel is resin with holes sunk for the instruments. The instruments are from Mike Grant decals applied individually.

My brother had one of those. He mixed sand and black paint to make his "vinyl" roof! :D

Finished Ozmods resin P-39 (P-400) in 1/144th. No place for weight in solid resin fuse so made a quickie base with some faux PSP.

It is a resin kit. The Academy box is just from another kit that I use to put parts in just before I feed them to the carpet monster Finish will be NMF. I have the gloss black on now.

Miniwings 1/144th F-84F. My first Miniwings kit and it is very good. Just a few pinholes. Nice cockpit detail for something this small.

Gunze 1/24th scale Lotus Elan SE. A friend of mine had one if these in the early 70's with a full race Formula Ford engine. That sumbitch could really move!!
