  1. great. F4 phantoms are very beautiful and famous planes. i will build one in the future too. but i may choose hasegawa's kits since everybody says that they are new and better than mono's :)
  2. i use tamiya x11 silver painting first, then add some x18 in x11 to do the contrast. well, if i have gunze Mr color, or Glad color, i think i can do much better. tamiya acy is not good for silver color but for the downside, it may be just so so....
  3. i use all tamiya acy color; i think i paint it with x13 blue metal color.
  4. earth brown oil color. then i used black with brown oil color to make these lines and rivets more clear and significant.
  5. these are great kits. i picked up one from hobby lobby too, when they had 40% off. i will build it in the future as soon as i want to build another zero. :)
  6. hasegawa kits, did all these changes and modifies 1. add eduard seatbelt 2. add brake wire 3. drill all gun barrels. 4. add some lines for engine. paint with tamiya color, weathering, washing, and brushing; OMG, it really took a while to built it. but the effects worth the time and work i think. these are pictures. enjoy. comments are welcome. actually i am selling my built models on ebay, try to make some money before i can find a job :), biding are welcome. if any idea to help me improve my work, it is very appreciate.

  8. nice job. the painting is great, i like these decals but i also heard that it is very hard to treat them. great work thanks for sharing. :)
  9. thank you guys. i am going to build another hasegawa zeke because this is really a very beautiful plane, although i want eduard mask for cockpit canopy cover... :) yes, they are all from the kits, i drilled holes for the 20mm gun. but the 13 mm machine gun is too small to do this, but they already look good. eduard seatbelts are added inside the cockpit, the only aftermarket kits i used. :)
  10. this little plane looks so cute. i built it as Golden 44, the soviet female ACE Lily. cockpit first add some more new pictures, :) hope this time they look better comments are welcome just few small parts left, it will be done today i guess.
  11. Oh My God, 1972??? we will quickly see her 40 yrs birth day. :) which makes me think my 30 yrs birthday, too T_T
  12. waiting for the close pictures. i could not believe this is tamiya's old kits. looks so good!!! i tried few times to get hasegawa's Ki 84, but they are away more expensive than i expected. :) i will keep trying.
  13. one of my favorite, nice job, beautiful painting. i like this plane and have eduard and hasegawa kits. some of my friends said it was not a good plane but i do not care, it is beautiful. i do not drive this plane, but i build it. :)
  14. thank you. i tried very hard to make it look good. and i will try to do better :)
  15. i am expecting to see your work. it will be very nice i believe. these is always interesting topics here. i have a Cannon G11 camera, with two lights about 1 feet away, put black or white paper as background and they are cheap. if you want better background, get these professional background with graduate changing color, it is about 30 dollars each on ebay, too expensive for me through :) and then learn to adjust your camero, usually put MACRO model which will show ability to take close pictures to details. adjust time from 1/6 seconds to 1/45 seconds and so on. just try couple of pictures and you will have your personal experience. good luck.
  16. thank you. Gil. hopefully, yeah, i am preparing for NCLEX test and looking for a job. they are not easy through. but i wll try to find more time for modeling. :)
  17. Accurate miniatures P51A. 19. Thank you. this is definitly what i am talking about. i know it is expensive even in China, but i still get shock when i see the price. OMG. let me think about it. maybe just let friend bring me one from china. :)
  20. thank you very much. your answer is so helpful. happy new year. :)
  21. 1. for some models, the panel lines are to shadow, so we have to make it deeper. usually we use something like very thin knife to cut the lines again. how do we call this thing? and where i can buy them? i know hasegawa makes some, trumpter makes some but could nto find them on ebay. what do you guys use here? 2. follow the last question. it is fairly easy to cut out of the panel line which will make it mass up. my friends told me that we can use stick with hard edge to stick along the panel lines and then we can cut following it. where do you guys call that stick and where i could find it? 3. this question is about taking photoes. there is a kind paper which has gradually changing color on it, like the color changes from white to light gray to a little deeper gray. it is very helpful to make the picture look more clear, sharp. what is the name of these paper and how i can buy it? in china we call it gradually color change paper... :) language barrier is tough in all area, hopefully i can work out better :)

    FW-190

very nice job, Buddy. i love fw 190 and am about to build one. since i am using tamiya acrylics. could you give some information about how to make these colors? thank you very much.
  23. does model master has specific color series for special country or planes? like 3 colors for painting supermarine spitfire in british war. i love spitfire but tamiya color makes me concern :) for example, the tamiya XF71(maybe wrong number) for Japanese navy fighter cockpit is so strange and i never saw anybody paint with that color. i am pretty sure it is wrong.
  24. Gil, you mentioned some many colors and i am pretty sure that what you guys use most here. unfortunately i am not familiar with them which bothers me a lot. maybe i need join some meeting to get know here more. :) i am about to graduate and find a job. hopefully i can find some free time. :) thank you for your information. you are very nice.
