Yeah, I saw that. But, he wasn't just ANY commander, he was Ariel Sharon: A big fish then too... So, it does look like at least a few were floating around in Israel, but still IMHO you should consider that they may not have been widely used and Sharon got one as he was Big Brass. That is, until you see more info... Cool news, none-the-less.

I don't think the IDF ever used the Goat. But, my answer is a WAG, so don't take it as an actual fact.

Commander Models, Inc has cleared us to post some new model kit info that will be of interest to you "Wheelies". Due out in Fall they'll be releasing 1/35 model kits of the M2A1/M3 Scout Car and T5E1/M2 4.2" Mortar Carrier! Stay tuned for more info at Warwheels.Net, including some "sprue shots" (parts photographs) of the M2A1/M3 SC.

Yep, great news again from Bronco. I was definitely hoping Bronco would come out with the GAZ-69 "Snapper" ATGM carrier.... Thank goodness I didn't buy the resin Jadar kit; I almost did.

Great Photos Mark. Thanks for sharing.

Although Retrokit will continue producing other stuff, they've decided to drop their AFV line in the next few months. Check out the message from Domi Jadoul at the Retrokit site: http://www.retrokit.net/index.html

Thanks to all those who helped me in my quest. I'm pretty squared away with Dorcester stuff for now. With that being said, if someone has some interior photos or vehicle measurements , I'm definitely interested in seeing those.

Hey all. I am looking for info/photos of the AEC "Dorchester" 4x4 Armored Command Vehicle(ACV). I've done the "google" thing and I've come up with some stuff, but not as much as I would like. I'm really interested in getting line drawings and photos, specifically interior and exterior detail shots. Anyone have any or knows where I can find some, please contact me direct at patrix1@sbcglobal.net . Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for those who took the time reply to this post. However, we've decided to suspend the awards this year. It just didn't seem like they were as well received as we had hoped. Regardless, WW is continuing as normal, so look forward to our frequent content dates.

Hey Guys. Being that WarWheels.Net is an IPMS/USA sanctioned Special Interest Group (SIG), we're looking for opinions from the IPMS Armor Community. What is your opinion of the WarWheels.Net Product Awards; Do you think we should continue on with them this year? In case you haven't heard of these awards, here is a link to the results from last year: http://www.warwheels.net/WarWheelsAwards2009.html Thanks in Advance for your help!!!

I believe they mean it is a limited release kit, with only 3,999 kits being available.
-
Thanks for the info Mark. I wasn't aware Mouse House did any, so I'll check them out.
-
Thanks for the head's up Mark. I'll definitely be ordering this and the other halftrack titles. Now, who makes 1/35 conversions for these IDF vehicles; besides AEF Designs?
-
Nice photos Mark. Thanks for posting!!

I don't know of any small scale kits of the Cougar, although I'd like to think someone will make one in the future. If anyone knows of a kit I missed, definitely let us know.

Yep, I agree with the rest of the guys here. For what it is worth, although I've never seen any pics of Dark Grey 234's and haven't heard of any done up that way, you never know what actually happened in all cases.... Someone could have found some old stocks of paint.... or??? I guess what I'm saying is, hey, if you want to paint it dark grey, it's your choice and your model. Have fun!! But, obviously you would want to let everyone know it is a "what if" paint job. That is, unless you've found photos of it in dark grey; which would be cool and I'd sure like to see them... Model on!!
-
Hi Paddy. It's nice to see you at our IPMS forums too. Keep up the great work. As always, I'd love to put up your pics at WarWheels.Net.
-
Yep, this is some great news. Kudos to Bronco!!

Nice job on what looks like a rough kit. Here's some pics of the real thing at warwheels.net: http://www.warwheels.net/CommandoScoutINDEX.html If you could take more photos of the model and send them to me, I can put them up at WarWheels. Just send me an e-mail at editor@warwheels.net .

Thanks for the info Rob...

Does anyone know what "donor" model kit is supposed to be used with the 1/35 Hobby Fan ROC HMMWV T75 Recon Conversion (HF050)?
-
Cool project Rob. Keep us updated on your progress. I too have a similar plan to build a "blast from the past" model kit; a 1/32 Revell F4U-1 Corsair. Although I'm primarily an armor modeler these days, the Corsair was the first kit I built by myself.

Nice Job Mark. Cool lookin' vehicle.

Lookin' good Mark. Keep us updated...
