JayMesawitz Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Really nice effect on the tires. How to? If you have time
JTRACING Posted April 4, 2010 Author Report Posted April 4, 2010 i saved all the bits of rubber from sanding the tires. then sprayed the tires with clear and rolled them in the debris. then a coat of dull clear to seal it on .
adfogel Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 Outstanding work, james! Love the tire idea...that's just a smart trick! Nice subtle weathering as well. Later, lee
Jamme Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Hello James. Nice building and weathering. I really like it! Greetings, Jamme
Lumpulus Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Jaime! Nice to see you over here from F1M.com! Great to see the Williams with Beer and Tobacco sposorship.
Weedeater Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I always liked this one just a tad bit more than the FW11. It seems more sleek lookin'. Either way, it looks awesome. Thanks for sharing it here with us.
ewahl Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 The car's weathering seems to be residue thrown up by the tires and ground effects from a very dirty road course. It still needs the occasional bird dropping and about a thousand bug impacts. It looks like a very used car after a race rather than a pristine car at the starting line. Nice! Ed
