wdedig Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 I fell in love with the actual aircraft when visiting the UK and seeing it at Cosford museum . I believe you can see Concorde & SR 71 from this aircraft. I hope to have the build article in Hyperscale in the future.
ghodges Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 That is absolutely beautiful! What sliver did you use to get such a stunning finish? That is a radical aircraft, but a great looking model. GIL
GregWise Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 WOW Thanks for sharing it here. I would have never seen it on Hyperdyperscale.
Mark Aldrich Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Wow, Even though it's a plane.....very impressive. Mark
VonL Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) NICE - You won that fight! Edited November 24, 2009 by VonL
wdedig Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 Thanks Guys The finish was Alclad Stainless Steel over decanted and thinned Tamiya Spray gloss Black
Weedeater Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Bill, that is spectacular. I thought that I was the only nut-job to attempt to build one of these. I started out on a vac kit of this (my first vac kit, aaaaaaggg), and butchered it. Never finished it. But yours is fabulous. Great job.
wdedig Posted November 24, 2009 Author Report Posted November 24, 2009 Thank You Very Much I do not think I could attempt the Vac Path Thanks for the compliments
ghodges Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Oh Ye of little faith....cutting vac parts off their sheet isn't much more work than removing pouring stubs from resin parts. You've got the skills, you just need the confidence! GIL
Dreamsof51 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) I go on vacation for a week and come back to see this kind of work. In a word, incredible. Who produced the kit? Chris Edited November 25, 2009 by Dreamsof51
wdedig Posted November 26, 2009 Author Report Posted November 26, 2009 Greetings The kit was made by Pro Resin. I obtained it At the IPMS Nationals at Columbus. Thanks for the compliments, Gil I'll still avoid the vacs. They sound simple but........
