The last of the Tamiya Gustavs, for awhile.

The last of the Tamiya Gustavs, for awhile. This, and the last 4 I've built were intended to be a display entered in the "Collections" category at the IPMS/USA National Convention in August. The base used was made by Bill Wedeward of Bases By Bill Custom Display Cases. As of this week, there's a 90% chance I will not be attending.

Improvements include:

  • Added rivets to entire airframe.
  • Masked and painted all markings except data stencils and unit markings .
  • Quinta Studios #72037 interior decals.
  • Ceramic wire antenna aerial.
  • Anti-vibration cones molded from plasticard.
  • MRP acrylic lacquers airbrushed through Iwata HP-C and Custom Micron-C.

Man, that is beautiful, and the display is fantastic! Too bad you can't go, but maybe some miracle will happen to allow it. I won't be there either, so I guess we'll have to wait till Milwaukee....

Good looking BF and sharp display for the collection! I always liked the later scheme with the wavy camo on the wing edges and Reich defense bands adding a splash of color!

Sharp looking collection! If you’re waiting for 2024, you can get three more completed for two full flights of four.
