The Duke's Latest Helicopter

Hello all.

After some time, I now have another finished model to show.

This is the Hobby Boss 1/72 scale HAP Tigre done up in Australian markings. This bird was masked with Silly Putty and sprayed with Model Master enamels. Here she is ready for delivery to my Australian Army:

That's all the aircraft I've gotten done so far.

That's a cool looking camo scheme, and that's a helicopter I'm not familiar with. Is it an Australian design, and if not, whose is it? Nice addition to your whirlybirds!

I like the paint scheme too, along with the "Roo's" on the side.  That really has a high silhouette for an attack copter.

Thank you guys for the great replies. Gil, the design is a French one, developed by HAP. They sold these to Australia sometime after adopting it themselves.

 

Bill, I agree, but at least they kept it thin. I also like the "roos". The Italian Mangusta is very similar to this and probably was influenced by it.
