Dick Montgomery Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 Attending the convention always serves as a motivation to try new techniques, start a long-delayed project, or just get back to the workbench and enjoy the hobby. Upon arriving home from Columbia (enjoyed it very much, and thanks to the Conv.Host Team for allowing our Bid team (from Tex) to shadow them throughout the convention) I was back at the workbench in under 12 hours. Here ya go....... a P-40N by Mauve with Cutting Edge decals. 4

WildBill50 Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Great job. What do those markings represent? Very different, as I don't remember seeing something like that. Bill
Dick Montgomery Posted September 6, 2016 Author Report Posted September 6, 2016 That is a P-40N-5-CU, Army Pilot Class 43-K. Decals are Cutting Edge CED48209 1

Dick Montgomery Posted September 20, 2016 Author Report Posted September 20, 2016 I'll be out of P-40s shortly....but no worries, I've got plenty of planes pulled by a prop so I won't have to start working on a jet (ugh!) anytime soon.
