ghodges Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Since that's a not so common Marine FAC from 'Nam, I'm betting the others are a couple of orange/white trainer schemes. THIS is one of the few releases I'm looking forward to. Hope it's available at the Nats! GIL
Ron Bell Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I know that VF/VMF means heavier than air naval/marine squadron, but what does H+MS 13 mean? 'Scuse a poor armor fellow's ignorance.

Headquarters and Maintainence Squadron. I was in the Air Force, so I don't know what an H&MS handles, but Google at least found the definition...
Ron Bell Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I knew HSM stands for Hart, Schafner and Marx, but your definition makes more sense. 1
dmorrissette Posted June 30, 2014 Author Report Posted June 30, 2014 Jim: no idea yet. Should be out pretty soon as its done so we'll see Dave
jcorley Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 The Headquarters and Maintenance Squadron provides the HQ staff for a Marine Air Wing and common maintenance support for things that cannot be handled on the line but not too difficult as to require AIMD work. Phased out after Nam.
