Mark Deliduka Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Love it! Awesome job! I was at an airshow once where these two engaged in a mock dogfight for us. The MiG had the upper hand through most of the fight. Most interesting and entertaining display!
ghodges Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Great camo on the Mig! Is it brushed or spray painted? GIL
stefanwest Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) Camo is airbrushed. Used silly putty to mask the lines. First I painted the whole plane tan then put down silly putty lines down. Then painted the plane dark green and put another set of silly putty lines next to the first set. Then painted the whole plane olive drab. Then I removed all of the putty. Edited January 29, 2013 by stefanwest
Mark Deliduka Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Sweet! I gotta get me some silly putty!
stefanwest Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Posted January 29, 2013 One word of advice. Once silly putty lines touch another silly putty line. Thats it. You won't be able to adjust much.
ghodges Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Just inherited 2 "eggs" of silly putty fro my dad's modeling stuff! GIL
Mark Deliduka Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Thanks for the heads up about the silly putty lines.
