hey guys i just recently bought a Heller 1:72 scale Boch 150 off of eBay it is a really old model from the 1960 and 1970 but when i opened the box all the peices were there but the decals were yellowed. if anybody could tell me how to unyellow decals it would be appreciated .

this is a revell 1:48 scale Messerschmidt ME-262 this build was the embodiment of my frustration most of it pieces didn't fit well it had a lot of gaps and required allot of patience and time just to get it put together well. but i was able to pull it together and make a presentation of a fairly presentable model .hope you guys like it

i was just wondering on your guys opinion is it better to paint extra parts for tanks [ shovels , picks , axes , wheels , etc ] before or after you put them on i used to do it after so my paint would hide and spilled glue or messed up parts .

i don't agree with Mr ford one bit this is a amazing work of modeling keep it up .

thank you all for the wonderful comments . this aircraft was a really fun build and would recommend it for anybody the parts fit together well and it comes with a wide selection of decals not much detail in the cockpit tho .

just recently finished academy 1:72 scale p-40 warhawk i painted and decaled like a flying tiger i believe this is one of my best hope you guys like it

Hey guys i was wandering what was the best putty to use to fill seam lines i am curently using testors model caulk but no matter what i do no matter how much i sand it it is easily seen under the paint and also i apreciate if it was a little on the cheaper side im not a millionare ( wish i was ) any help wouild be appreciated

Revell makes alot more aircraft selection but alot of times there models peices dont fit together well i agree with petej tamiya are some of the best models you to can by very detailed and you dont have to get frustrated when the peices dont fit right.

GIL. i normally use acrylics but thought about trying enamels because i have a problem with acrylic paint not sticking to the models surface i tried hand painting a figure with enamels and then put a acrylic clear coat waited 48 hours and put a wash on and some of the enamel still got pulled off with it.

Amazing they look so real how do youlike know when you have added enough chipping and not to much and also how do you kepp your enamel paint from being pulled off with a wash

I did some reasearch for you and the uss san juan was mainly painted a camo job of light grey a dull black or light grey ocean grey and dull black it got painted these colors threwout its service for the navy .

Okay thanks for the tips and here just one more quistion is there a way to mask something without useing masking tape

I use to you enamels but then it became a pain to have to paint with enamels any time you want to weather them with a oil wash you have to spray a acrylic finish so it just became easier to paint with acrylics.

I do wash the parts and that makes it not so bad. I use model masters acrylic and let the paint dry 24t to 30 hours and the primer i used was a laquer primer because thats the only one i couild find.

Hey guys i was wondering if anybody know how to keep acrylic paint from being pulled off with masking tape i tried primer but it didnt work and the family didnt like the smell of it. Advice wouild be appreciated
