Does anybody know of a good way to make a desert/sand base on a piece of small wood? I tried plaster as the base for texture covered with woodland scenics fine ballast, but it doesn't seem to look very good. I used woodland scenics glue but it doesn't seem to hold the ballast down very good, and looks to grainy for 1:35 scale.
X-acto roll off the table, and naturaly try to close my legs to catch it. Stabbed right in the thigh, but the doctor said he sees it all the time. Go figure
It depends on if you have the Vallejo Model Air paint, or model color paint. But anyway I recommend Vallejo Paint thinner. I was never impressed with how it airbrushed, and I only airbrush Tamiya Paints. But Valejo, brush paints alot better than Tamiya Paint.
This P-40E is the Hasegawa 'South Pacific Aces' kit #09702. I added the Eduard PE Flaps, Interior Details, Resin Wheels, and Resin Airfoils. I sprayed the model with a Badger 100g, and Model Master Paints.
This kit was straight from the box with Tamiya Colors and a Iwata Eclipse. The only add on was the seatbelts are Tamiya masking tape, with PE buckles form the spares box. I always dip the canopies in future to make them look like real glass.
I Airbrushed the 109 with a Iwata CMB using Tamiya paints. The kit is straight from the box with some pastels for weathering. The kit is the Tamiya Bf109 E-4/7 Trop Kit #61063
