Yep. Mark's Sea Fury took Best AC and Best in Show. Fantastic work! From what I hear, though, it was not a slam dunk. The decision was difficult, caused by the very high level of quality from the other BoS candidates.

Dave, You can bypass the Login Screen by simply closing it. I think the "X" is in the traditional upper right corner location.

With about 650 entries, a full load of vendors (over 100 vendor tables) and great walk-in traffic, ModelFiesta 36 was a roaring success. Best of Show went to a visitor from Seattle, and it should be noted that he traveled to San Antonio, Tx to participate. That says a great deal about the quality of the event. We had amigos from south of the border join us and they took home a load of hardware. ModelFiesta 36 was also the 1st time a category was created for Gundum entries and the turnout was excellent! Thanks to the vendors and thanks to the many modelers that made ModelFiesta 36 a success. Edit------------actual model entry count is 653. Group Builds and Collections count as a single entry so the actual number of models was approaching 700.

Ray, To "Private Message" another person just hover your cursor over their name in the blue bar above their message. A window will appear and there is a "Send Message" button in the lower left corner of that window. Click once on that "Send Message" button and it will behave just like email. I'll be the only one who can read what you sent and we can chat without cluttering up the thread on the forum. I've sent a Private Message to you and you can also reply to that P.M.

As you can tell by the color of the clothes pin it has seen its share of time in the spray booth, holding parts requiring airbrushing.

So you want to duplicate a marble? How about a grape or cherry painted grey. Perhaps a ball bearing out of a wheel from your vehicle? Oh wait..............not "a marble", but "marble".....never mind

Don, Reach out to your Regional Coordinator and the Dir. of Local Chapters. They may be able to forward any email invitation that you provide to other IPMS members in the Fargo area. Better hurry before the electricity in Fargo freezes in the wires. (I grew up in Great Falls and know something of winters up north)

Hey John, Welcome to the forum! Nice work (I checked out your website), especially the P-40s. You're right about the Monogram P-40B being a good basic kit. Add a little PE and some detail and you've got a great looking model.

That's one fine model!

Next up, and, in fact, already mostly assembled and primed, is the Mauve KittyHawk III.

I'll be out of P-40s shortly....but no worries, I've got plenty of planes pulled by a prop so I won't have to start working on a jet (ugh!) anytime soon.

A classic kit from the "Golden" era.

I'm on a P-40 kick and this little guy took about 3 or 4 weeks. It's an older model with some recessed panel lines and tons of rivets, but zip in the way of wheel well, engine, and cockpit detail. So I replaced the entire cockpit with a True Details set, paper harnesses and Waldron buckles, and just some fiddly bits on the engine. Nothin' in the wheel well because I didn't wanna spend my time there. And more Cutting Edge decals, leftovers from the previous P-40 project.
