Keith Pruitt Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Just realized I hadn't posted this one... As always, comments and suggesetions are welcome...
dmorrissette Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Hi Keith: Is it 1/48 or 1/72? Great kit. Did mine in Black tails. Love the way you built it! N ice! Dave
Keith Pruitt Posted February 10, 2012 Author Report Posted February 10, 2012 Thanks, Dave...this is the 1/48 kit. It came with decals for the Shadowhawks and the Vikings. I chose the Vikings, since they were the first squadron equipped with the Growler.
burner12 Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Looks great Keith! I have the same kit, how well did it go together?
Keith Pruitt Posted February 13, 2012 Author Report Posted February 13, 2012 Sorry to be late responding...I spent the weekend running a state conference.... The fit was really good overall...there was a bit of seam work here and there due to the modular construction of the fuselage, but nothing that couldn't be handled with time and a little bit of effort. I was originally planning to use the pilot figures in the cockpit...however, they didn't fit very well, so I dropped that idea.
ghodges Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Great looking Growler! I particularly like those tail markings. Nice choice! GIL
MikeMoore Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Very nice Keith...missed you in the 'noog last month...
Keith Pruitt Posted February 16, 2012 Author Report Posted February 16, 2012 Thanks, Mike! I am really sorry I missed the Chattanooga Show...I had planned for several weeks to be there, but got slammed and couldn't get away for the day...I did hear, from our chapter members that were there, that it was another great show. Congrats!!
Mark Aldrich Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Keith, Beautiful work!!!! Should have had you build my C-17!!!!!
