VonL Posted April 21, 2009 Author Report Posted April 21, 2009 FINITO - !!! Hard to see the zinc-chromate weathering, but a good day at the Hobbytown USA contest last weekend. Next I'll present it to a fellow bomber guy who's retiring from The Force this year:
Mark Deliduka Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Brilliant job! All that hard work paid off. Outstanding model!
Keith Pruitt Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Very nice!!! Congrats on bringing home some hardware from the contest!!
ghodges Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Beautiful model of a Cold War warrior that's still protecting us after 50+ years! Congrats on a rewarding build! GIL
VonL Posted April 26, 2009 Author Report Posted April 26, 2009 Thanx very much for the encouragement and the kind words, guys. Most rewarding was the recipient picking out several details that only a BUFF guy would spot. It was well worth the fight. Would like to do some more of these in the future, different versions & eras, maybe even sexy-up a Monogram D-model in some fashion. Hope to take a few more detail snaps before it goes. CHEERS! Von_L
Glynyrd Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Congratulations on the awards! It's well deserved. Glenn
ghodges Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 WOW! Where'd you find such tiny trees? Cool pic! GIL
theemodelstarter Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Awesome final photo Phil, err, Von (sorry I couldn't resist!) I enjoyed following the build too.
