Huey in the Weeds: LF scale drawing/diagram of the M-23 Door Gun Pole Mount

Working on a CAD drawing for 1/72 bug-scale, cuz this part doesn't seem to appear in 1/72 kits, nor aftermarket (but the M60 guns are out there). Am doing it by eyeball so far.

Anybody got, or know where to find drawings? Measuring a museum bird is worth beer...

For Mark 1 Eyeball, THAT looks pretty sensational! Unfortunately, I'm not near any museum so I can't help with physical measurements. 

That said..... if no one steps up with exact dimensions, if I were you, I'd print some up in a few trial runs that are JUST a bit dimensionally different and see how they look when put together with the M-60 and sitting in the door. Once you have the size that LOOKS right in comparison to the gun and the door, I doubt anyone would know you never got the exact dimensions to start with.

The only other suggestion is you include (if needed) any sort of weld/attachment plates/points for the mount to the floor/side/underside (and perhaps more than one option IF they were mounted differently on different birds) so all the modeler needs is a spot of glue and they're set to go!

Oh man, I've been waiting for someone to come out with something like this since I have several Hueys that need door gunners! This already looks great too, but like Gil, I have no access to a museum bird to get measurements. I'm looking forward to seeing future developments!

I have a set of white metal mounts and guns that were made by SHQ Miniatures (HC1) out of England.  They may be 76th scale but look pretty good if a bit basic.  They also came with a 4 man crew but I haven't matched them up to the ESCI/Italeri kit to see how they look.  I probably won't use the crew anyway, just the guns.

Your CAD drawing looks really good.  Unfortunately the only Huey on display near me is a B or C version which had the miniguns and rocket pods.  I say had because someone stole the miniguns off of the chopper.
