DennisTennant Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 This is an out-of-the-box build of the Tamiya 1:48 Crusader kit. I was tempted to finish with a sand terrain base but kinda like the look of it sitting on a glossy black base. No more using brass nameplates, I'm making my own using Photoshop and my local Walgreens! This was a sweet build and I was sorely tempted to ratchet up the detailing a bit but went the OOB route instead. Weathering with Flory clay washes, pigments and oils.

RGronovius Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Nice work, I enjoy the 1/48 scale Tamiya tanks. Easy, pleasant construction with just enough detail. My only gripe is the limited line; I'd love to see more modern armor like Bradleys and Abrams, M113. They've done some very nice JGSDF vehicles.
Ron Bell Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Those are such nice kits and you made the most of it. In a way, it's kind of nice that there isn't a lot of after market stuff to temp you in this scale. They are nice kits that are fun to build and you can leave it at that.
